The Leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Committee (JCC) Rivers Axis, which is saddled with the utmost responsibility of Fighting for the welfare of Nigerian Students in the Various Campuses in the State, have restated its commitment to Join the Zonal Leadership ably led by the Sagacious Comr. Okereke Godson C Bishop, the Capacity Coordinator of the Largest Zone in NANS to shut down activities in the 1st Niger Bridge, which is the boundary between Anambra and Delta States and a major access for travelers in the Country.

Comr. Nwokocha Noble Obusoh, the Executive Chairman, while addressing Newsmen today at his school - the Rivers State University, stated that plans are being made to mobilize students from the Various Campuses in the State.

"I call on Nigerian Students Schooling in Rivers State but are kept at Home because of the Strike to come out en masse as the struggle for the survival and emancipation of the Nigerian Tertiary Institutions is our Utmost Priority".

He further stated that " this protest/massive shutdown is sequel to the non adherence of the Federal Government, State Governments, and ASUU/ASUP to reach a compromise and allow Nigerian Students to go back to School. This is a sacrifice we must pay, if we want Nigeria to Grow".

The Executive Chairman - Comr. Nwokocha Noble Obusoh who is a Level 300 Student of the Faculty of Education - has always been at the forefront in the fight against Oppression and Victimization in both Rivers State and Beyond.
