Is It Right For Students To Protest Against The ASUU Strike? by Bruzlinxy(m): 12:06pm On Jan 29, 2019
Nigeria is a highly populated country with loads of her population comprising of youths. A good number of these youths are distributed in various universities across the country. The question now is; why has there not been a protest or a march against the ASUU strike that started since last year? Is it that we are cowards? Or that we are OK sitting at home doing nothing why some persons hold us at ransom? The money the federal government is to release, is it their personal money? And some youth still attend political rallies?
The way forward now is for us to discuss on when, how and where should protests take place. Or should NANS take it up?

It's their life those crazy people are joking with, so I think it's right if they fight for what concerns them.

It's stupid to do that.
There're fighting for the students.
You think the Fed Gov't give a sh*t about Nigerian students They send their own outside the country to study, so if you like protest and get yourself killed it won't reduce the price of handout in your school

Many students are busy engaged in one form of business hence they don't care when the lecturers calls off their strike. Some students have opted for private universities while others had travelled abroad courtesy osusu ministry. The ones you see on political rallies are there to share from the national cake. Very few of them came on their own to watch drama. These are reasons why many Nigeria students are not moved by the strike instead they pour their anger on social media when they are less busy. Haven't you noticed that few of them are on the street protesting?

Its saddening that some people's life is being delayed cause of the strike, imagine a medical student that just have a resit exam to write and become a medical doctor

That is what we see in many public universities. Unfortunately the student will have to bear. By the way aren't medical students exempted from the strike?
