Focus: The Real Master

WORD FOR TODAY
Mammon (Money) is a master which is capable of defining both the physical and spiritual affairs of a man's life. You are not serving God until your life is free from every issue that has to do with money!!!

"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." (Matthew 6:24 NKJV)

God is the real master of the universe. He created all things and rules in all affairs of men. However, he gave man the exclusive right to choose who to serve and who to be his master. You cannot say No to a master. You will not have any option but to always comply to the will of who you choose to be your master.

If there is anything contending with your time, service and consecration it is mammon. It is the reason why many people are living with guilt. Mammon is the reason why many do not have option but to abandon the will of God as far as the job they do, where they live, the person they marry, the type of church they attend, the calibre of their friends and the manner they approach things.

Mammon in some cases is the major reason behind some activities that looks spiritual. It is possible to pray, sing, preach, teach, prophesy and go on visitation in the name of God just for mammon. Take heed of yourself and ensure that mammon does not dictate the tune of your life. Do not serve money in the name of serving God. The Almighty God will never share His glory with anyone. Surrender your life and make it available to do the will of God.
