Isnt it money market fund/ mutual funds ? Cos on CIC website you can use Mutual funds. Also assuming you wana liquidate a part of the funds, how soon will ARM credit your bank account?

ARM Money Market is okay for proof of funds and it is very liquid. you can withdraw with a maximum of 48hrs notice

May be a better option is to move the money into fixed deposit in a bank.

It depends on what you are claiming points for (eligibility or CRS).

Before you can enter the pool, you have to be eligible for Federal Skilled Worker Scheme by getting minimum of 67 out of 100 points. You can get 5 points towards your eligibility score by having close relatives in Canada, which can be from the long list of relatives.

Once you are eligible and you want to get into Express Entry pool, only siblings (yours or your spouse siblings) will increase your CRS score.

Hello House, can someone comment on this relative thingy for the express entry. I am getting confusing info on CIC website.

One says just your sibling (brother or sister)

another says;
Relatives in Canada
You, or if it applies, your spouse or common-law partner, have a relative:living in Canada
18 years or older and
a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
This relative must be a:

parent
grandparent
child
grandchild
child of a parent (sibling)
child of a grandparent (aunt or uncle)
grandchild of a parent (niece or nephew)

Please can anyone who has claimed point for relatives in Canada shed more light before one misrepresents to CIC, i intend to use the one in Bold above.

Can I tell someone in Canada to pay for my WES or IQAS evaluation with thier own funds? Is it possible? If yes, will I have to register and give them my log in details to make the payments?

Yes it is possible, just send them the website payment page link and make sure you don't close the page on your pc. Refresh when they are done with the payment. That's exactly what i did. however please note that GT has extended their forex limit to 1000 dollars now, you should be able to pay with a GtB mastercard too

"Status of your IQAS assessment and processing time
Applications take about 6 weeks to process after everything is received. This does not include mail delivery time."

BUt 6weeks is the same thing as 30business days yeah?
