AnamCity: Where is this guy getting all these money for these massive projects? There is hardly any Nigerian state that is doing any capital project and still meet up with salaries and bills. And I confirmed from my people in Awka, they said that a lot is going on at various parts of the state, and still yet nobody is owed a dime including civil servants. Building three massive flyovers simultaneously is not a joke. That is the difference between a technocrat and an ordinary politician with out vision. What I am particular about in anambra state for now is all the numerous MOU's that have being signed. This MOU's can change the state for good. Please we need info about richbon, omor rice and the so many other mou's. |

IsraeliAIRFORCE: I remember our good old days in boys Technical College when companies pay Departmental heads to reserve some students for them on completion of intensive technical courses.
It is worthy to note that the workshops were heavily equipped that most companies can bring their works to the school for electronics repairs, engine remoulding, spareparts machining, architectural designs, fabrication and furniture crafts among other trademarks.
Our generation rocks. I don't know that we have such a technical school here in nigeria. Good to know that some of our schools was well equipped with good machinery. |

investnow2013: Anambra state government builds skill acquisition center
In line with Governor Willie Obiano’s determination to eradicate poverty and unemployment through the establishment of skill acquisition centres, the leadership of Amawbia Town Union in Awka South Local Government Area has officially handed over a skill acquisition centre built by them for learning of various entrepreneurial skills by the women. Performing the ceremony, the President-General Amawbia Town Union, Sir Anene Mmaduka, represented by his deputy, Mr. Chris Nwoye, who extolled the uncommon leadership qualities of Governor Obiano, said that poverty remains a major impediment in achieving the Millennium Development Goals in the country, which prompted the building of the centre.
Sir Anene noted that since women empowerment is part of Governor Obiano’s efforts at eliminating poverty in the state, they built the centre to help their women acquire the needed entrepreneurial skill, for their self reliance and also to become employers of labour and charged them to be hardworking.
Admonishing the women to use the centre for their economic enhancement, the chairman on the occasion, Mr. Ben Ekenta, noted that the skill acquisition centre, will go a long way in providing various beneficial skills for the women and charged them to avail themselves of the unique opportunity.
Also speaking, Reverend Sylvester Ogugua of Saint Peter’s Anglican Church Amawbia, thanked the leadership of the town union for their noble initiative and prayed God to bless the centre. This is what we need in South East Nigeria. |

There is a man called Filmers, and Ugwuozo(from enugu) are undoubtedly the richest their. Filmers havee an estate in lagos already he could have build a company where they manufacturer these irons in his home town Akokwa...

I gave you the address of their fabricating mill along Atani Road but their head office is at Uga Street Fegge.
They are among those Obiano gave money under ASBA just like Obi gave Innoson that time.
They are moving from selling to fabricating theirs now That is nice to hear, that our government is taking the lead in terms of industrialization. |

Do you know Nkwubuego, Buddah nwanne, what do u mean by the largest marketing in the East, I mean marketing? That means they buy from others and sale or they manufacture themselves and sell. Now for Bau cement it have started producing cement and here in okpella and also auchi his cement can being almost everywhere. My brother we need to change the east for good in terms of Manufacturing. Am happy about this steel plant in anambra and I hope others can come up to. It is only us from the east that criticize our government and we keep them on their tools. Come to edo state and see, with all the oil money u will see little no visible development in term of roads and their are still proud of their government. |

Shinatu: God bless you! I know Nigerians too well not to be moved by this celebration, I remember the celebration that followed a replacement of former commisioner for Education in Delta state some years back just because of the intensive inspection of the schools that she personally embarked on, she would visit a school early and any teacher that was late or absent was dealt with, even School Principals were not left out, they all hated her and she was eventually removed.
Years of curruption have eroded values, people want easy money, a normal mode of working in other countries is termed wickedness in Nigeria. I was serving at delta state then when she was removed. Seriously the woman tried to change the educational system of the state. |

AnambraDota: Nwoke where have you been.
We need to invest in food processing big timeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Do you know that the manufacturer of Beloxxi Biscuit in Ogun State is an Igboman.
Companies like Niger Delta Flour Mill beside Ogbunike toll gate is now covered by trees, weeds, snakes, lions and Elephants have taken over the area. I remember seeing works going on there in 2004 when I was going to ESUT.
Brifina is no longer working, its at Habour Industrial Estate opposite Orange Drugs.
The only food processing now are Noodles in Nnewi and Nkpor.
We need to invest in biscuit, flourmills, fish processing, palm oil, cassava processing and etc.
Let me list companies that closed shop in onitsha I know that was employing close to 10000 workers.
GCM.
Iju Industries.
Brifina.
GMO.
GUO.
Air Liquid.
Harbour Industries.
The most painful is GCM Onitsha, I wept when I discovered the site was sold for SABMiller to berth. As a kid I know how their staff buses used to come to the bus stops blowing horn to pick their staffers, even Premier Brewery back then used to have great workforce, their staff bus was beautiful.
Chaiii My Onitsha must bounce back I swear. My brother I am fine and hope ur doing great to. Have being around though viewing the thread. Was not happy to see how chino chased away Achi4u. Beloxxi biscuit is one of the best sold biscuits in the market around last year and early this year. To my surprise I was watching NTA one certain day and saw the MD/Chairman speaking, only for me to discover that his name is EZE. Nwokem, we really need to stop and think about ourselves. Why on earth will this man leave south east nigeria only to establish his factory in Agbarra & also his head office in lagos. Am happy about our level of growth in non-consumable items(eg cars, motorcycle, motor part, shoes etc),but we need to produce what we consume. We need to start producing biscuits, rice, yam, beans, tomatoes, milk etc. |

Animosity: Costumes is moving in brand new equipments into the farm estate. Thousands of quality jobs are created for our people It is a known fact that in south east nigeria we lack food processing industries compared to other regions. Am always angry when ever I check the back of packaged foods, biscuits, milk and other consumables, only to see made in Aghast or logos. Please (I don't want this to make people from other regions angry. It is just that I love my people very well). It is also a known fact that we are good in manufacturing clothes, shoes, engine oil of different grades, cars and other non-consumable items. My people it is time we fully embrace agriculture (not because I studied Agric Engineering, but because we should not repeat the same mistake twice). I repeat, no nation or region can stand if they do not feed themselves. All those that are close to our rich men and also government officials should inform them that we need more farms, more multinational companies producing foods. |

If you v done that, TY Danjuma & his boys wouldn't v gone berserk. Meanwhile, I wonder why these Igbo e-warriors on Nairaland never remember TY Danjuma as man that started the official killings of their men in power. What moral justification do TY Danjuma v to lead rampaging northern military boys to go & kill Ironsi? Nigeria is a sick country where justice rarely prevail for a common man not to talk of military coup! TY Danjuma need to give accounts of why he & his boys killed Ironsi, Fajuyi & others in 1966. RareDiamonds: Gov Chime commissions revitalized Enugu Sunrise Flour Mills 10th May 2015
The Enugu State Government-owned Sunrise Flour Mills which stopped production since 20 years ago, was commissioned by Governor Sullivan Chime on Saturday after it was revitalized through a partnership with a Vietnamese company.
The industry, which last functioned during Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo administration, had remained moribund for the past 20 years as successive administrations failed to revitalize it.
But the Sullivan Chime administration, determined to get the industry back on stream, signed an agreement with a Vietnamese company, DAO-VTV International Trading Services and Investment Ltd in 2013 to take over the moribund Flour Mill for a period of 30 years.
Speaking shortly after re-opening the industry, Chime, represented by the State’s Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mr. Jude Akubuilo described the re-opening of the Mills as a milestone in one of his administration’s many policies aimed at giving the State’s economy a new direction. Sunrise Flour
Chief Executive Officer, DAO-VTV International Trading Services and Investment Ltd, Phoenix Huynh speaking during the commissioning of Sunrise Flour Mills, Emene, Enugu on Saturday
Akubuilo, who embarked on a comprehensive tour of the facility said, what we are seeing today is the under-celebrated aspect of the Sullivan Chime’s administration, the total re-engineering of the economic sector, that’s what you are seeing today, the re-opening of this moribund, sleeping sunrise flour mill, it has been sleeping for several years but today it is very very much awake; this is possible because of the determination, the doggedness of the governor”.
He further stated that “Chime has transformed Enugu State from a sleeping civil service economy to a wonderful economic powerhouse; it is becoming the economic hub of the South-East.
“Some of you may know that President Jonathan has now formerly approved the Enugu free trade zone; his excellency will not let him be, begged him, cajoled him until this formal approval was made, and today we hear that the flag off of the ground-breaking ceremony of this all important trade zone will take place on May 21, 2015”.
“So, you can see the economic turn-around of the state, the re-opening of the ANAMCO, which today is now assembling trucks and we are believing that others will soon follow; the construction of park and shop going on beside the Enugu State House of Assembly, many industries are clamouring to come into Enugu State, courtesy of what Chime had done to re-engineer the economy of the State”.
The commissioner lauded the Vietnamese company, DAO-VTV International Trading Services and Investment Ltd, for the quality reconstruction work at the industry.
He expressed hope that “as the CEO said, we know that this will capture the market share in terms of flour, noodles and other products, not only in the Eastern NIgeria, but across the country and beyond; we want you to continue the good work you are doing, you have the assurance of the Governor that in and out of government, he will continue to support and of course you know that this company will feature prominently in his hand-over note so that the incoming administration will continue this good work.”
Earlier, the CEO of DAO-VTV International Trading Services and Investment Ltd, Phoenix Huynh, while commending the Enugu State Government for its support, pledged the determination of the company to meet the expectations of the people.
According to the CEO, the sleeping industry had been reawaken and now ready to commence full scale production.
She said, “We thank the Governor because he helped us a lot; we shall try to make our products of very high quality for the customers in Enugu and beyond”, adding that “in the future, we shall go beyond flour and do noodles, cashew, others and we look forward for many investors”.
“In our plans for expansion, we have need for employment here- people with very high technological experience. I think this is a very first good step to make the place much more developed in the future”.
She assured that the partnership between the company and Enugu State Government would be rewarding not only to the state but the country at large. http://theadvocatengr.com/new/chime-commissions-revitalized-enugu-sunrise-flour-mills/ @ Op This is a great news, because I know that sunrise-flour was one of the industries in south east that need to be brought back to live. For example AVOP,Enugu Steel, the poultry in Imo and many others. Also about the news on the free trade zone in Enugu. We have being expecting this for a long time now. God bless you Rare Diamond |
