Male infertility is any health issue in a man that lowers the chances of his female partner getting pregnant.

About 13 out of 100 couples can't get pregnant with unprotected sex. There are many causes for infertility in men and women. In over a third of infertility cases, the problem is with the man. This is most often due to problems with his sperm production or with sperm delivery.
What Happens Under Normal Conditions?

The man's body makes tiny cells called sperm. During sex, ejaculation normally delivers the sperm into the woman's body.

The male reproductive system makes, stores, and transports sperm. Chemicals in your body called hormones control this. Sperm and male sex hormone (testosterone) are made in the 2 testicles. The testicles are in the scrotum, a sac of skin below the penis. When the sperm leave the testicles, they go into a tube behind each testicle. This tube is called the epididymis.

Just before ejaculation, the sperm go from the epididymis into another set of tubes. These tubes are called the vas deferens. Each vas deferens leads from the epididymis to behind your bladder in the pelvis. There each vas deferens joins the ejaculatory duct from the seminal vesicle. When you ejaculate, the sperm mix with fluid from the prostate and seminal vesicles. This forms semen. Semen then travels through the urethra and out of the penis.

Male fertility depends on your body making normal sperm and delivering them. The sperm go into the female partner's vagina. The sperm travel through her cervix into her uterus to her fallopian tubes. There, if a sperm and egg meet, fertilization happens.

The system only works when genes, hormone levels and environmental conditions are right.

These problems may be detected using basal body temperature charts, ovulation predictor kits, and blood tests to detect hormone levels.
Cervical causes. A small group of women may have a cervical condition in which the sperm cannot pass through the cervical canal. Whether due to abnormal mucus production or a prior cervical surgical procedure, this problem may be treated with intrauterine inseminations.
Uterine causes. Abnormal anatomy of the uterus; the presence of polyps and fibroids.
Unexplained infertility. The cause of infertility in approximately 20% of couples will not be determined using the currently available methods of investigation.

Ex Eaglets and former Flying Eagles striker, Taiwo Awoniyi, who spearheaded the Golden Eaglets and the Flying Eagles attacks during the record forth world FIFA U17 trophy in 2013 at the United Arab Emirates and at the recent world FIFA U20 world Cup respectively, celebrates his 19th birthday with his twin sister, Kehinde Awoniyi, today.

Taiwo Awoniyi was Kelechi Iheanacho's set lead by Manu Garba at the 2013 FIFA U17 world cup in the UAE where he became the leading striker after the team's main striker, Isaac Success, was down with a knee injury.

Taiwo Was also invited by Samson Siasia to the Olympics squad that conquered Africa during the qualification tournament where the Dream team VI lifted the trophy. He was eventually dropped after he loss his form.

We hereby use this medium to express our condolences as well as bring to the notice of the general student community the accident that occurred on the 7th of August, 2016.

As clearly stated in a previous press release by the Student Union tagged "THE RCF ACCIDENT" few days ago where we emphasized that we will not hesitate to release and keep you informed about the condition of everyone in the bus once we are certain about the latest development.

It has has been confirmed that the accident occurred at Jobele, along Oyo-Ibadan expressway leaving four dead out of 15 with ten injured.

During a visit to UITH yesterday, with the Deputy Vice Chancellor Management Services, Prof. Abdulkareem , Dean and Sub-Dean Student Affairs, Prof. Talabi and Dr. A. Yusuf as well as executives of the students Union we observed that the injured students have been responding to treatment and most of them have been discharged but for two .

It is with great displeasure that we release this official statement and the list of Students that were lost to the accident with their details below:
