Breaking News:

Port Harcourt agog as appeal court sitting in Port Harcourt has asked INEC to include APC in 2019 ballot for governorship, senatorial, house of representatives and house of assembly elections.

The appeal court led by Justice A.A Gumel gave his judgement as the three man appeal panel granted APC and it's governorship candidate Tonye Cole the stay off execution of a federal high court judgement mandating INEC to exclude all APC candidates in February 16th and March 2nd election.

This is coming on the heels that APC presidential campaign for women organised by Aisha Buhari will be holding in Port Harcourt on Tuesday 5th February 2019 and APC presidential campaign to land in Port Harcourt on Thursday 7th February.

Granting a stay is not as saying Inec to add the names of the Tonye Cole faction of the APC party ! It has not been defined yet! Let them not rejoice yet!
Re: Appeal Court Ask INEC To Include Rivers APC On Ballot by bigblxd(m): 5:31pm On Feb 04, 2019
Ordinarily, I wouldn't want to comment on stuffs like this but it is baffling to see APC supporters celebrating a judgement that clearly favours PDP. A case in point is the Ondo State scenario where the electoral umpire could not postpone the election because PDP as a party was always in the ballot while awaiting court judgement for the lawful candidate of the party. As it stands, neither of the warring APC factions in Rivers State would commence campaign pending the determination or ruling at the apex court even if it comes a day to the election. Tell me, how then does the APC hope to wrestle power from Wike?

there was no such thing as INEC did not monitor the primaries conducted by both faction

Abeg stop this rough play. Rivers APC and PDP is now 50/50 at the polls.

Your permutation is not correct. It can never be 50/50. If you say 65/35 it's more realistic. We that live in Rivers know what's up. APC can never defeat Wike, however, they will get senate, some seats in House of Rep and House of Assembly

When i said buhari will get 30%,i know why.the case may not go to the supreme court if the magnus abe faction is pacified.apc will win at least 2 senate seats,10 assembly seats and 5 reps.
Rivers result.
Pdp 1 million
Apc 500,000

Your permutation is realistic

Stop misleading the public. What the appeal court did was to grant a stay of execution to inec which is a means of saying, "hold on from disqualifying them till we hear the case and make a judgement".
Besides, it can't direct inec to reinstate them cos it is not yet settled on the one to admit between the two factions

Just a quick question, why was APC excluded from Rivers elections in the first place? I asked because I don't know the reason behind it.

Oga,you haven't followed this case so you sent familiar with it.the federal high court nullified apc primaries and asked inec to remove their names from the ballot.the appeal court has now temporarily halted the ruling of the high court until the substsantive suit is heard.

Oga ,INEC already published the name of Tonye Cole as the recognized Apc candidate in Rivers before the judgement from the federal high court changed everything. Now that a stay has been granted INEC will simply take back Tonye Cole and all others in the Ameachi faction whose names were published initially, until the supreme court gives her verdict on the issue.

Thanks bro. APC and its bandwagon of liars and deceivers have started deluding themselves and deceiving the public. The appeal court never authorized APC to continue. And by the way have they reminded the public of the matter in contention? If the appeal court asked APC to continue which faction is it referring to? Did you listen to Magnus Ibe's lawyer when he clearly stated that the Amaechi faction misinterpreted what the stay meant. Clearly if APC goes to election and let us assume that they win, they will most certainly be thrown out by the court.
Just to refresh our memories, the lower court said you cannot built something on a non existent thing. It means the 2 factions are non existent. Gbam!
