WHY YOU SHOULD BOYCOTT 2019 NIGERIA ELECTIONS

By Duru Ernest

One who submits to be governed in a democracy must have a stake in it, if not, one has not only enslaved oneself, but had oneself locked in a ballot box and sooner or later will asphyxiate. The government of the people, by the people and for the people is a succinct definition that is self-explanatory. How and where this definition relates to or matches what is going on in Nigeria as government since the inception of civilian administration, no one can tell. If the people don’t have the government (are not sovereign) which is contracted in a constitution where they decide the supreme law of the land; if the people don’t have the mandate (their choice of leaders) which is in the will of the majority; and if the government is not accountable to the people (the indisputable stakeholders) which is in the keeping of the terms of the contract, then there is no democracy.

If it is not a democracy, what is it? What is Nigerian system of government called? Who in his right senses will call it a democracy? Federalism or unitary system that is contracted by who and who? What is this fuss all about PVC and voting? How long shall you be beaten before you quit? You do not have any right to criticize whoever you permit to govern you if you vote in any Nigerian election. For those of us who had been criticizing Buhari and his abysmal government since 2015, tend to feel justified, or revel in some kind of right-demand asseveration as one whose bidding ought to be done. But what majority of us still don’t know and can’t accept is that we don’t have any right, given the way Nigeria is fudged together. It is a phony government; a fraud of monumental scale.

The truth is that we don’t have a constitution, a legal document where we spell out the terms of our government, nor have Nigerians ever come together and agreed to create one. What supposed to be a constitution of Nigeria doesn’t resemble a constitution both in content, structure and context. It is a mumbo-jumbo bunch of meaningless letters drafted by the military junta and imposed on hundred and eighty million people since 1999. And it is clear that most of the youths who are itching to cast their vote have not read a page from out of that document that serves as Nigerian constitution. If you don’t know the terms of a contract, why would you sign the document (vote)? Imagine you sit in your father’s house and vaguely overheard people discussing outside on how to sell the house and all the property that belonged to your family. In a few seconds, a stranger walked in with a sheet of paper and asked you to sign that it is a document, an agreement regarding the sales? Would you ask for a pen or demand to know who the stranger is, who entered such an agreement, why was it entered and the terms and conditions. Of course, no sane person will not choose the latter and even threaten the stranger.

Unfortunately, Nigerians had chosen the former and are willing to renew the contract with zeal. We are asking for the pen to endorse our slavery, to sell our freedom, our lands, inheritance, patrimony to shrewd strangers who are plotting our destruction. Because we have some of our family members who were bribed, brothers who are debased and evil and had been sent by these strangers to convince us about the sell, we ignore the right process. We forgot to ask for the document to see what the plots are and how our deaths will come about.

Our ancestors were overpowered with guns by the white man and later hoodwinked into annexation of our lands, amalgamated it to the lands occupied by invading killers for the sole purpose of founding a business venture which will keep the entire region in perpetual servitude and service their greed. For more than hundred years, since 1914, the agreement signed by our unlettered fathers had allowed the British to steal our resources and control our lives till today. We honor these criminals, serve them with delectable while we stoop down on the floor to scavenge on the crumbs that hardly satisfied our hunger. Before they physically remove themselves from our land, they left us in an unnatural union, bound us with itinerant Jihadists whose wacky belief orders for execution of the infidels (you and me).

I won’t go into this history now lest I veer away from the main purpose of this essay. Let’s focus on how irrational it is for a Nigerian to cast a vote in an election. It is obvious that what presupposes an election in a democracy is a constitution, and one which is agreed upon and written by the voters. Do Nigerians have a constitution that they agreed upon and was written by them? When were Nigerians consulted to decide if they want to live together and how they would live together? How can such a fundamental issue be glossed over by youths who passed through tertiary institutions? To neglect a foundation of a house is to risk a collapse. Nothing has been working in Nigeria that is endowed with enviable resources and potentials. The basic things of life including food is being denied them and people who believed they are thinking are blaming someone else. It is Buhari who is clueless and inept. It is my governor who is diverting the state money into private coffer. It is Ohaneze ndi Igbo who has not brought any single development to the region.

No, it is none of them, but ourselves who had constantly plotted our own destruction. It is ourselves who had been wooed to believe in a government that is apparently fraudulent. It is ourselves who go with our voter’s card to reequip these political bandits by renewing their holds on our common treasury. We cast a vote ignorantly and ready to shun anybody who wish to enlighten us on the futility of the exercise. You spew every stupid reason to defend a stupid belief in voting.

Now listen!

Since we don’t own a constitution, we have relinquished every right to objections in a government. Those whom we ignorantly ask to preside over us, by this very reason, do not owe us any obligation because we have never stated what our demands are. There is no contract! If they don’t repair our roads, equip our hospitals and schools; if the politicians don’t pay our salaries, pensions and gratuities; if they ban importation of food stuff into our lands; if they close all our ports and raise import duty, and if they embark of anti-developmental policies, we don’t have any right to demand for explanations.

The union of Nigeria by different ethnic nationalities is not a choice but coercion. We are held under duress by threats of war and destruction if we resist. We are defeated, subjugated and enslaved by folks whose primary goal is to annihilate us. We are jumping up with PVC as though it makes any difference. With your PVC we are reinforcing our enslavement, and if they perfected their plans to wipe us out, it is our ignorant that killed us.

What sense does it make to remain in a union with a group who wants to impose sharia law that calls for your heads as infidel? Some folks are clamoring for restructuring and I consider such cowardly. They were asking for restructuring as though if guns are not on their heads, and they have the option of leaving the union, they will still remain. The truth is that they are asking for restructuring, which in their opinion, is a fair demand than secession that will infuriate their captors. The truth is that all who want restructuring actually want Nigeria to split into the three major ethnic lines. They argued that they want the system restructured to strike balance and enthrone justice in the union. That is not true. They want restructuring because they are spineless to demand for a split. If we are not honest and seek out safety on time, we are going to pay with our bloods. If we are afraid of war and dying now, death will eventually catch up with us, either starvation, or by the sword of religious lunatics.

If we boycott the election, it is not only going to shake the establishment, but will attract the attention of the international community. If the purpose of the boycott is to protest and demand for a separate republic, it will become a burning issue and will be given a priority. Boycotting an election is an effective protest strategy to vent your dissatisfaction over our slavish condition. But if we remain in this ungodly union by voting, soon or later, we shall be overrun by the killers, whose thirst for conquest is illimitable. They will kill us and take our land to establish a caliphate as they are already establishing in the middle belt.

ELECTION BOYCOTT AND WHAT GENUINE POLITICS IS ALL ABOUT

Figuratively, genuine politics is a means of using what you have and the power at your disposal to diligently serve the masses, while the masses having tested and trusted, reciprocate by giving the actor in question maximum and passionate support bereft of any external influence and monetary inducement. In other words, it is politicians that serves the masses, not the masses serving the politicians. The condition of every society is determined by the methodology with which the leaders of such a given society are chosen by the people. In a perfect democratic or civilised setting, the people choose their leaders, while in an autocratic society, the leaders choose the people or the people have their leaders chosen for them subject to the mercy of the elite group. Nigeria claims to practice democracy, but such void bragging is a perfect illustration of self deceit just like a deliberate advert of a rotten product.

The only reason why many Nigerians today are drumming support for Atiku Abubakar is not because he is the best the country can produce, but because it has been stamped in their defeatist psychology that it is only Atiku that stands a fighting chance with the cabals impersonating Muhammadu Buhari. What a very absurd psychological state and mental quagmire!

This is where you come to the conclusion that Nigerians don't get to choose their leaders, rather, all the people who have ruled or governed the country were either forced on the citizens(military coup) or the citizens have their leaders obscurely chosen for them through sham elections that thrives on the altar of elitism. This is why someone as notorious as Muhammadu Buhari has been able to rule Nigerians both as a military dictator(coup executor) in 1984, only to be repackaged and sold to the same Nigerians 30 years after as a civilian head of state just because of the desperation of some people to get rid of Goodluck Jonathan.

In what looks like history repeating itself, the same scenario is playing out today. Just because Nigerians are too desperate to survive Buhari, they are now ever ready mount the trojan horse of Atiku Abubakar without asking the direction which the same trojan horse that successfully conveyed Buhari to Aso rock in 2015 is headed. Nobody is asking for how Atiku's manifesto looks like, none of the ethnic nationalities are asking for what Buhari's former colleague and suddenly transformed antagonist is bringing forth to solve the constitutional and structural incoherence that is suffocating the country. Nigerians are not worried that this may yet be another ponzi scheme that will finally bury a country killed by an evil system and manipulated by Buhari.

Only IPOB is doing something reasonable and justifiable, but which has proven difficult to comprehend to political puppets.
We should all tell ourselves the truth that IPOB did not just wake up to start campaigning for election boycott. Nnamdi Kanu as the leader of IPOB opened widely the door of IPOB to all political parties to come in, as long as they are coming with a referendum date or at least a constitutional reform written, supervised and approved by all Nigerian citizens and which must have referendum clause inserted into it.

Whoever says that the demand given by IPOB before its adherents can participate in any election in Nigeria is not genuine is actually suffering from a huge mental defect and high level of ignorance, knowingly or unknowingly. It takes extraordinary level of sophisticated reasoning to understand the ethics of modern day self determination which IPOB is inventing in Africa if not all over the world. IPOB understands perfectly that the only power of the people does not rest on the kangaroo Abdusallam Abubakar 1999 constitution which has destroyed Nigeria completely, but rather in the votes of an average Nigerian citizen which the political gladiators manipulate to legalise their embezzlement enterprise and atrocities through the fraud called elections.

Since Nigerians are too cowardly to orchestrate violent revolution, why can't they starve the demons holding the country to ransom of oxygen by withholding their votes in order to usher in a brand new country bereft of colonialism, subjugation and oppression of the common man?

No body will recognise those that did not vote as it stands now. Now that boycott can not be achieved, what other strategy do you have to curb the hunger and hardship in the land? Non, no strategy at all.

I told a man to get his pvc first incase of tomorrow but he refused. Now they have been told to vote out Abia governor I wonder if he will do that with his mouth.

Osefamallen Felix Okoruwa:

419ners! No wonder they all behave like touts and thieves when they come into power. This is so, because the spirit and soul of the 1999 constitution is a THIEF, that begins to control the mind and soul of those elected under the criminal document. The only way to destroy and eradicate corruption from Nigeria, is to reject and destroy the 1999 fraudulent document....

To cure a madman, you must succeed to exorcise, or bind and cast out the spirit that is responsible for his madness, or you'll only succeed in time wasting. In the same token, to end time wasting in the fight against corruption in Nigeria, the spirit and soul of the nation which is the 1999 constitution, must be rejected and done away with!

The big question is, would the thieves allow that evil document to go without putting up a fight? No at all!
To overcome a strongman, you must have the capacity and ability to 1st bind him, then you can overcome him. Now, how do we form a more formidable force stronger than those elected THIEVES in power, and cast out the thieves and the criminal document?

Just so you know...

...that when a politician is elected in developed countries, he becomes sober at the thought of the daunting tasks before him compelled by the Constitution.
In Nigeria, once a politician is announced as duly elected, he goes for "thanksgiving" to celebrate his official induction into the Hall of Fame of those with direct access to the Treasury...the 1999 Constitution did not ask any politician to work for the welfare of the people!
Read your Constitution; no politician owes you a duty! The 1999 Constitution is a document of CONTROL and not for DEVELOPMENT!!! You see how stupid it is? You elect folks to steal as they have immunity from being questioned till after their tenure! It is ridiculous!!!

I know it's pretty difficult but try...try...#thinkAgain!!!

The Butcher of Kaduna

He claimed to have paid Fulani Terrorists from killing people; killings increased.
He claimed to strive to bring peace to Kaduna; killings increased in Southern Kaduna.
The Military engaged and killed some Killer Fulani Terrorists; he vowed that it was a debt that must be paid for every Fulani Terrorist killed.
The South agitate for equity; he threatened that majority must rule and agitations must stop so people don't get killed; a few days later, his cousins in uniform killed people in Afara-Akwu near Umuahia.

He tried to convert traditional chiefdoms to Emirates, the principle monarch in Kaduna South refused. He was invited to see the Killer and what happened? Monarch got killed on his way back to the palace...how convenient...
Foreign observers would like to come inspect the charade we call elections; he threatened to kill them all!
You resumed as the biggest dog in Kaduna and people started dying like fowls!

You bloody Imp of the Devil, every thing about you is KILL! KILL!! KILL!!! Haba! Even a vampire should get tired of blood once in a while! You're all about killing! Na wetin? You no dey taya? Kill, kill, kill! Even the devil must be feeling threatened now by your penchant for blood! You wanna overthrow the devil?

Of course, you're celebrated as a hero in the United Arewa Emirates (UAE) where hypocrisy is king and killings are a way of life.
I am sick and tired of sharing a country with celebrity killers!
Abeg, no kill me too o! I'm just a powerless Facebook Tiger! Killer Hell Ruffian!!!
Meanwhile, no matter what you all do, that silly Constitution would do you no good. We must #restructureOrBurst.

A Tale Foretold

A sitting governor plans to kill foreign elections observers should they dare attempt to refute the claims of pre-arranged electoral results. As in, he would return the corpses of Americans, Europeans, Japanese and other observers in body bags to their home countries!
My people, now that foreign observers have been assured of certain death, then the locals that plan to protest the APC sexed-up results would most likely be visited with genocide!

I didn't say it; the Crown Prince of the APC said so!

I don't blame him though; once you give legitimacy to the charade, you should accept the results announced by the organizers as they're constitutionally mandated to organize and declare the winners! The APC presidency is the organizer and announcer of results. Any attempt to protest the results shall be a breach! SMH....
If you still do not understand how useless the electoral philosophy is, or how stupid the 1999 Constitution, then you're a menace to civilization!

We must #restructureOrBurst no matter how long we postpone it.

To all APC/PDP (Atikulated) e-rats and other one-Nigerianists who are now officially the WAILERS because of IPOB's stance to boycott the sham called zoo presidential election, when has IPOB suddenly become important to the extent of your having nightmares and headache? Were you all not at the forefront of jubilating and celebrating when the python was dancing?Yes, let us face facts: when you were supporting operation python dances and tagging of IPOB terrorists, you never campaigned against the killings and disappearance of Kanu and IPOB members, why then do you think that they are suddenly important in helping you to vote out the tyrant you supported to kill IPOB.

You see,IPOB is now used to the brutality of our enemies and treachery of people like you in our midst, they don't care anymore and will go ahead to do what pleases them : boycott the forthcoming already rigged zoo presidential election. Further, IPOB demanded the collapse of the constitution and the evil structure of the Nigerian state ,and provide a level playing ground for all, checkmate rigging, and other fraudulent activities having seen clips of underaged voters, people using card readers as personal properties, vote buying and thump-printing of ballot papers but you all hypocritally and deliberately ignored it because of money and somehow you think that you are clever by suggesting that your voting does not mean pertuating all thesd vices and fraudulent activities and in the process blaming IPOB for your suicidal mission .

IPOB vows not to be part of the perpuation of that fraud but to confront the system itself that enables them in the first place by protesting it through boycott which remains the most sophisticated effective means ever. You are the one legitimising fraud not IPOB.
So, don't cry for IPOB but cry for your usefulselves!

Eyes on the Ball

Those that ain't interested in participating in elections under this structure had been complaining of being harassed by the pro-election crowd. But it is obvious too that some no-election folks too had been attacking certain candidates! It's unfortunate...

If you're convinced of your stance of not voting any longer (which happens to be my stance), then leave their candidates alone! You don't have to insult or denigrate their candidates. It is actually NO business of yours! When you denigrate their candidates, they've got legitimate rights to attack you too and accused you of working for someone! You hurt your own course by fighting those actually sympathetic to your cause but differ on modalities.

Stay away from vilifying their candidates! And ignore their elections. Yes, some would attack you; ignore them! It's just another week, ain't it? Please, bear it.

Be dignified in your convictions...the target is an autonomous region as a minimum; concentrate exactly on that! Keep away from making undue enemies! Focus on your mission! Eyes on the Ball at all times!

After the elections, it's open day! Attack the structure with renewed vengeance. In the interim, respect them and let their candidate be!

Just so you know...

...that corruption is the major reason for the unity of Nigeria. It is legalized and enshrined in the 1999 Constitution as state policy. Nigeria is sustained by a corrupt and unjust philosophy. And we validate the whole corrupt edifice.
Fighting corruption is a sick joke; no one could fight basis of of our existence. The unitary system is the universal standard of measurement of corruption! We are solidly United in corruption.
Our (s)elected officials are united against the People in corruption. Read your Constitution; it's encoded therein.

The Fascist Republic of Nigeria

I often hear phrases as these:
Let's give democracy a chance!
Let's protect our democracy
Don't endanger our democracy...
...and so forth!

Lol...what democracy are they talking about? Democracy in Nigeria? That would be the day! My friend, there's no democracy here!
It is sad...very sad...that most Nigerians believe that once citizens are allowed to vote, and those voted for are civilians, then that is democracy! My goodness! Nothing could be further from the truth! How on earth were millions of people brainwashed to believe this bunkum?
Democracy is a government of the PEOPLE, by the PEOPLE, for the PEOPLE! Look at Nigeria, the PEOPLE are the least important in the scheme of things. In fact, if you should speak, Pythons and other dangerous animals could be sent after you...and there's no court to run to! The Executive controls the courts! The People are the victim of this system. It is no democracy!

Again, democracy is a system of checks and balances. In a democracy, the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary MUST be totally independent...at all levels of government. In Nigeria, the Executive OWNS the other arms of government. The Judiciary is totally controlled by the Executive. The Legislature is controlled by the Executive...the People are controlled by the Executive! There are no checks and balances!

This is no democracy!

In a democracy, all people have the right to be governed as they would. Every community has the absolute right to govern itself, constitute a government, have a constitution, and control its destiny! In Nigeria, it is ensured that the communities have no control over their destinies! In fact, the government is obsessed with ensuring that communities are as miserable as possible; if you show too much stubbornness, they send federal police and military to occupy your zone...and intimidate you!

In a democracy, the government fears the people! Imagine the Nigerian government being scared of us or the governor in awe of the people? Lol...the People live in mortal fear of the government! With their murderous police and the Secret Army of intimidators? Who you be?
The government starves us, maims us, kills us, steal from us and always determined to ruin us! And you call it democracy?
Folks, it is Fascism! The 1999 Constitution is Fascist! The present federal government is not breaking the Law in the real sense...the governors are not breaking the Law! They are obeying the Law to the hilt! And the Law says they must be Fascist!
This is no democracy... and that is what Nigerians validate every four years hoping for a Messiah! Ridiculous!!!

Elections are the least of your problems, the structure is!

The Futility of this Obscenity

No president, no head of state, no one ever, had worked so hard, to prove to all people of goodwill, that the 1999 Constitution, is an extremely useless document, as Mr. Buhari has.
Mr. Buhari has inadvertently, demonstrated beyond all reasonable doubts, that the 1999 Constitution is not fit-for-purpose, that it is a document of fascism, corruption, nepotism, abuse of power, anti-people, anti-development, insane, stupid, Islamic, sectarian and a whole lot of crap!

No president, loves that useless Constitution, as much as the same Mr. Buhari. Mr. Buhari has proved beyond reasonable donuts, the futility of a most obnoxious Constitution! He has proved that as long as the 1999 Constitution remains illegally in force, Nigeria shall continue to be a giant waste of time; elections or not!
Dear Readers, the Constitution is absolutely useless! The 1999 Constitution is a state-sponsored scam. It is a grand Advanced Fee Fraud. It is the reason for this idiotic structure we have! Elections are not our problem, the structure is!
We must #restructureOrBurst; no amount of sham elections would take that away!

You can't stay in Israel and destroy Nigeria,u better come back and help us destroy it.

Sometimes I wonder if ipob and its cohorts don't understand the situation we found ourselves in. We all need to go for the available option that can take us one step close to whatever dream or aspiration we clamour for. Why would you be clamouring for what is not available in the Constitution instead of playing your games wisely.
