An endangered turtle was killed after it was caught by some residents in Lagos.

The sea dwelling animal, was butchered by the residents who deemed it right to make a meal out of it.

The animal killing is coming days after a leather-back turtle, was saved from certain death by a woman, Doyinsola Ogunye, at Elegushi Beach in Lagos, after it came ashore.

Not all turtles are endangered.
I think it is ok to hunt those that aren't endangered .

That turtle came to d beach to lay its egg.

It came ashore to lay eggs and met its death. Same way the average Nigerian risks death in that shit hole while going about their normal everyday business.

Sea turtles live for an average of 80 years, longer than the miserable wretches who felt entitled to take the life of such a creature. Disgusting.

Nigeria has an endangered species law that was only relatively recently updated and amended in 2016, as well as other related laws and regulations, including a regularly-updated list of animals on the endangered species list. Enlightenment and enforcement are the problems.
