The United States’ secretary of state, Michael Pompeo has put through a call to the presidential candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar to wish him luck towards a free and fair election. This call was made barely 48 hours after the former President of the United States, Bill Clinton, made a call to the president and candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Muhammadu Buhari to wish Nigeria a successful election.
