I have an English friend who grew up all his life in his native England and yet does not know jack about Westminster system of government which his country has practised for decades.

Buddhism and Chinese Taoism have many gods
And your Christian God
Chinese do not oppose the existence of any god
But most Chinese do not have a clear religious belief.
