Dear fellow omoluabi, I will appeal to everyone to think deep before we allow the current economic meltdown and campaign of hatred forget the benefit and the future of our region.
I will agree with all the aggrieved citizen that the current economy in our nation is not the best, but changing government is absolutely not the better option.
I believe buhari as learn is lesson from the first administration while we hope for better rewarding future in the incoming administration.
Southwest is better equip and position in term of development under buhari/osinbajo administration.
If we allow the selfish interest of some people do the wrong thing come nextweek Saturday by voting out the current administration, we will all regret the action.
Amnt a member of any political party but am talking as an individual that want his nation and region to develop.
The Nigeria economy have been drive by the corruption since and changing stile will surely affect many citizen.
Example of it is the below story I will like to post for better explaination.

1. A young man works for one of the state ministries. His salary is 120K. He makes 15,000 everyday on this desk (N75k a week) engaging in corrupt practices. As a result, he spends the daily cash as he cares. Living large and far above his legitimate income.

2. He visits the local joint every evening and buys drinks for friends, and area boys. They hail him. He is married, but has two girlfriends. His "income" is enough to take care of them. The Asun seller at his favorite joint is happy, the joint owner is happy.

3. Everyone was benefiting from his "income". Friends, family, area boys, joint owner, Asun seller, girlfriends, wife and his church. Life was good.

4. Then suddenly the ministry implemented the Treasury Single Account (TSA) at the beginning of PMB administration. His extra "income" disappeared and he had to adjust to the reality of event and live within his real income. That wasn't easy.

5. Initially he reduced his daily visit to the joint to 3 days a week and stopped buying drinks for everyone. He reduced he plates of Asun. The Asun seller started to find it hard to sell a full goat each day and resorted to buy half.

6. The young man's girlfriends started to feel the heat too. No more iPhone 10. The joint owner noticed a drop in sales. The young man finally stopped visiting the joint after a month. The area boys started feeling his absence. The effect cascaded down.

7. The young man started spending more time at home with his wife and kids. The family had to readjust to the reality of the new normal. His hair stylist noticed the young man suddenly stopped tipping. He will even wait for his N200 change after haircut.

Oga..how do you want us to believe or follow your words, when you can't even keep your own promises. You opened a thread to say you would vote against buhari if he refuses to sack Abba Kyari (https://www.nairaland.com/4801051/presidend-buhari-didnt-sack-abba) and he hasn't.. So what happened to that promise.. Can you see yourself lack integrity based on this?

obj was not Yoruba's preferred candidates and you people had no choice cause the two men were Yoruba's.

The 2015 presidential election yeebos voted for GEJ even though GEJ performed below expectations.

So let Yoruba's vote whoever they want to vote.
Majority wanna vote buhari, is there choice and their right just the way majority of yeebos will be voting atiku.

No matter how you want to put it and twist It, if you're honest to yourself, you'd know Gej's administration was by far better than this buhari's poor attempt at administration.

Then you people always claiming igbos hate yorubas bla bla bla you forget igbos overwhelmingly voted obasanjo a yoruba man against their own illustrious son Ojukwu. They also voted against buhari even when he was fronting an igbo VP.

This is not about tribalism but about the very life blood of this nation.

I won't even waste my energy with most of you naysayers because majority of you who come on social media to spread hate and sectionalism don't even have PVCs

90% of Igbo people will vote ATIKU in the next election.

It is not because he picked Peter Obi. In 2003 BUHARI picked Chuba Okadigbo and the Igbos voted OBASANJO.
They are business oriented people, they know bad market when they see one. Dear Hausa /Fulani. In 2007 BUHARI picked Edwin Ume-Ezeoke, yet the Igbos voted Yaradua!.
BUHARI can not manage the economy, as you have seen it. Experience they say is the best teacher. Igbos hate poverty and have never made mistakes in their choice of President in Nigerian History.
Even after the civil war, Igbos rebuilt themselves with nothing to the envy of other Nigerians. Igbos do not hate Buhari, but they hate the POVERTY associated with Buhari and his Government.
I believe that anyone can do better than Buhari and his APC cabals. Let's vote for Atiku-Obi, I know they will surely do better for Nigeria. Postponement of election will never save APC from defeat

What has southwest gained so far since the inception of Buhari's government? Has it stopped the microfinance banks from harassing and embarrassing your friends and brothers? I pray for a drop in the number of the unenlightened and tribalistic Yorubas. I'm glad not all the yorubas are like u.

Yorubas voted for Jonathan over a Buhari/ Tunde Bakare ticket in 2011, it's not a big deal. We turned down the chance to vote for Ribadu/ Yoruba ticket in 2011.

The Buhari/Bakare ticket even stood a better chance of winning the election than the Ojukwu ticket which was basically dead on arrival as majority of Nigerians were not ready to vote for him at that time.

Notwithstanding, Yorubas just like the ibos and Hausas have always voted for political parties that they feel will always protect their interest as clearly demonstrated in the last election when ibos rejected APC and Hausas rejected PDP.

Judging from a Yoruba point of view, PDP doesn't seem to have the interest of the Yorubas at heart because they didn't finish any major road in the south west for many years and abandoned majority of our infrastructures

Re: Yoruba Need To Vote For PMB For Continue Development In Southwest by Kagawa10: 3:45pm On Feb 18, 2019
Nigeria situation could be likened to a market woman who sells 20 number of corns at a rate of 110 naira per each daily. Years later, the market leaders eventually reduced and controlled the price at 50 naira. The market woman is still expected to sell same 20 number of corns but nothing higher than this. Tell me if the woman's income would increase or decrease? However, if the woman had saved enough when the corn was still priced at 110 naira, she wouldn't be affected by the fall in sales price, pending the time sale price would increase once again.

That's the situation of Nigeria today. When crude oil which is our main source of foreign revenue was selling at $110 per barrel for more than 5 years under Jonathan, Jonathan didn't save but looted us dry instead. We're suffering from this effect today now that crude oil has been selling at a poverty rate of $50 per barrel for the past 4 years under Buhari yet Buhari administration has had so many projects undertaken by him despite earning 60% less.

If only people knew what other oil countries such as Angola and Venezuela are passing through during this global crude oil price recess, they would thank God Buhari came in rather than Jonathan who looted us dry despite oil boom when crude oil was selling at $110 per barrel for five years unlike the paltry $50 it has been selling under APC. If the looting Jonathan couldn't save during the time of plenty and was already borrowing, how would he have carried on during this crude oil price recess?

Despite Buhari administration earning 60% less yet he's come up with plenty projects such as

Our railways at itakpewarri, Lagos-ibadan, Lagos-Abeokuta, kaduna-abuja etc,

The production of low cost fertilizers,

Zik maoseleum

Baro inland port,

Kaduna inland dry port,

Port Harcourt airline terminal,

Abuja airline terminal,

Rice mills,

Foreign reserve increase from $26b to $43b,

Construction of our express highways such as enuguonitsha, Lagos-ibadan etc.

Social policy schemes such as tradermoni, npower etc

Payment of all pensions of airline staffs that were forced to retire after the shambolic privatisation by Atiku. PDP didn't pay them in the last 16 years.

And most especially, stabilizing us through this recession which happened because jonathan failed to save despite earning 60% more than Buhari. Note that there's been a global fall in the price of crude oil from $110 per barrel in 5 years under Jonathan to a paltry $50 per barrel under Buhari administration yet Buhari was able to keep us afloat while having many projects to his name thereby surprising Ngozi Iweala and Charles Soludo who predicted recession because jonathan looted and failed to save during the time of plentiful.

Sai Baba. PDP, Neva again

Economic Wise APC get it wrong at the initial but they r caching up now, changing the government is not the solution.
Moreso the major problem of this government is that the free money people are use to, are no more flowing like before, the corruption still exist and you cannt remove it completely.
Given Buhari administration another chance will be a better option than changing the government

If the economy was good, his brothers could have been able to pay off but due to the inflation and fall of purchasing power which are all as a result of the bad economy brought upon us by this corruption fighting government who could not pave way for economic growth, they were not able to meet up. Why call on CBN and FG? If they were not sure of paying off, why go for a loan the first place?

It's obvious that your blood is hurt, you are ready for confrontation but I believe am above that, am appealing to my people, my region, we know what is best for us, amnt saying Buhari administration is the best for this country.
To my own understanding and believed, if southwest are to choose in-between the current leading candidate for the progress of the region, Buhari is better option for us and that's why am appealing to my people.
You can as well canvass for your other candidate if you believe in him.
Yoruba dnt think of present situation alone, we are use to compare the past/present/future before we make decision, that's why we are progressing.

Please, can you remind me who was Chairman of BPE? By the way, this is an excerpt of the eL Eufai (APC Governor)

Q: Now you are in APC, and the man who gave you your first federal job as chief executive is on the other side, the PDP, which is Atiku. In your book, you remained grateful to him for that opportunity, now you are here, he is on the other side, how does that make you feel?

A: I feel nothing. Because first of all, in the course of human interaction, you can have principle differences with anyone. As long as these difference do no degenerate into being disagreeable I think it is fine.

Secondly, the fact that Atiku played a role in getting me to head BPE does not mean that I am permanently enslaved to him. I am an adult, I am responsible for my actions and I can decide when to disagree with Atiku. I can decide that something is below my life principle and I will not do it.

Thirdly, we were engaged in public service, we still are. The overriding principle in public service is public interest. Wherever this conflict with anyone, I will always go on the side of public interest.

Q: Was there any such experience while you headed the BPE and he was the chairman of the National Council on Privatization?

A: There were a couple and I outlined them in my book.

Q: Do you want to remind our readers?

A: I will rather you get your readers to buy my book so that I can make a little money.

No No No! In brief let me tell you, as far as privatization transactions were concerned, Atiku never once called me and said this company to A or B. He mentioned one company to me when we were selling National Oil, he mentioned Mike Adenugu and clearly said he the request came from the Awujale of Ijebuland, that I should look at it. This is normal in government, people make request of you and you say “I will look at it” and you do what is possible. So I will not count that against him, Awujale of Ijebuland is very close to me, he is like a father and I know that to be true, Atiku did not lie in that instance.

I will not say that during my time in BPE, that Atiku tried to influence the sale of any enterprise to anyone directly. I will say that for the record; while I was there, after I left other things happened but you have to ask those that came after me.

Where I had problems with Atiku was in procurement, when contracts are involved. He was willing to destroy my reputation if his friends did not get contracts that he wanted them to get, this was the problem I had with him and two examples were detailed in my book.
