Rice mills was built for rice farmers or farmers who import shaft Rice but how many rice farmers do we have in Nigeria? Hence the Reason why importers still import rice into Nigeria but the difference is the government is trying to encourage rice farmers by not giving subsidy to rice importers. We don't even have money for such subsidy in the first place because our revenue has been cut down due to global fall in the price of crude oil and that was why the cost of rice is expensive.

As for borrowing, Jonathan was borrowing despite oil boom so what do you expect Buhari to do at this time of global recess? As far as we are making judicious use of the borrowed funds which Buhari has done so far with lots of projects undertaken by him, I'm okay with it. After all USA has the largest accrued debt in the world but it's counterbalanced by their high revenue and foreign reserve.

If Jonathan was already borrowing despite oil boom, what did you expect Buhari to do during this global oil price recess? What I'm particularl with is what Buhari uses this borrowed funds to do and he's done well so far.

Very easy to compare your country with the USA when it comes to borrowing, but you'll never ask what the borrowings are for. Has the government ever given specifics of what is being borrowed for?

Buhari entered and for 6 months provided zero leadership. Failed to make political appointments, presided over the worst economic erosion the country has suffered since after the civil war.
You can accept the regular deceit, Buhari did not oversee the worst oil prices in the history of the country, Oil sold for less than $30 under Obasanjo, yet his government dragged the country out of post military despondence.

More that 5000 bank staff were sacked same year.

More than 80% of these people are still unemployed, 10% have travelled out of the country. These people, their immediate family, their dependants have all been thrown into poverty because a Boyscout president came to play.

Now you know why I am critical about this government.

If things continue to look this grim, and more and more people continue to be thrown into poverty at the current rate, sooner than later, it will get to you.
