Background check is crimnality and security. Eligibility is also where they scrutinise the entire application i.e. POF, employment docs. From GCMS notes, My eligibilty is met but my background check hasn't started ie criminality and security

Topsmamen:

Take eligibility as a mini-background check. An agent at the CIO checks if your CRS points match and are above the round's ITA points, if you met the points required under your selected stream, if points are claimed genuinely and that there are no irregularities.

Background check entails a deeper scrutiny of your entire application E.g. proof of funds, employment documents etc.

It's a paid service but you have five free trials. Use them for this.
If all else fails, go and send it using regular fax. Most business centers in big hotels have fax services

OK thank you. I appreciate

So everything is intertwined. If Eligibility=Background check and Background check=Criminality and security then Eligibility=Criminality and security.

Good day everyone,

I need your opinion please,if for example somebody had one year experience(NYSC ) and 3years on current job will be person pick 4years experience for CRS calculation?
Considering that the person's current job is in category C and does not qualify for express entry but his NYSC job experience fits into category 0

Is it safe to count it as 4years work experience and use the NYSC job experience as primary Job?

Yes, that's correct. Your total work experience is 4 years. You will use your NYSC job to claim work experience and get reference letter for that job.

Doesn't the fact that it's under category C matter? I mean it can come under personal history but can he still use the 3year experience to claim points?

Hello House,

I need an advise here. Having completed the IELTS exam with a score good enough for FSW application. I understand that I need to do ECA with WES. Here is my question. I have OND from YABATECH, and HND from Federal Polytechnic Ede. Would I need to submit the two certifications to WES, or the highest certification, which is HND. Thanks.
Both.
Also, hope the good enough score is 8777

All through 2018, even when just 3000 ITAs were issued, scores only went above 450 twice.

The very week i smashed IELTS and finally jumped into the pool with 450, cutoff jumped to 457 and refused to drop below 450 for 7 weeks and after 3 consecutive draws now.
i mean, what are the odds??

My village people, una welldone ooo. make una free me nau.

Congrats to all ITA clinchers...really missed those days when every draw Wednesday comes alive with different people dancing and rejoicing in an ITA rain. Now it's jst a drizzle, with one or two drops here and there like a draw never even held in the first place.

Yes, it matters. The applicant is not eligible to claim FSW points with C. But as long as he/she meets the minimum requirement of 1 year continuous paid work experience in primary job (with skill level 0), then it's all good. The 3-year job can go under the personal history.

In this case, it will be better to wait till friday. You shall truly need the TRF date in your application.
Adunnee:

No, it doesn't show for BC. My main concern is the date written on the TRF. I am not sure of the date it should be.

Is it possible to edit that part after receiving ITA, in case the date is wrong?

ricaabrams:
Good afternoon everyone
Please I need your help on this
Can I claim points for 2 certificates if I do a 6 months PGD program in Noun, that is do you guys think I’ll get a positive evaluation from Wes with a 6 months PGD program?. I have a Bsc in biochemistry and recently did IELTS with a score of 8S 8L 7.5R 6W. I know i’ll Have to rewrite IELTS again but I want to do a program to boost up my CRS. Please I’m sorry if this has been answered before, I have tried going through the trends to get the answers but I’m still confused.
