If you have in mind to take him to Canada at anytime in life and you've declared that you have a son from your first marriage, then he will need to do medicals.

Good evening house. Please I want to register for ECA. And have masters in engineering and my spouse has masters in fine art. Should I use ICES, WES or IQAS? Or is there any other evaluating body better for us?

It depends on what you want. If you intend settling in Alberta, you may want to use WES because you would be needing it for you to become a registered engineer eventually. Wes seems to be the fastest. But it comes with waec wahala.

Ices is less complicated but takes 14 weeks.

1qas takes 3 months and above.

So if you want a fast ECA and don't mind the extra money, you may stick with Wes. If not, choose any of the other two.

Guys... been in this journey for years. Awaiting my IELTS Result. Will be 34 In July and the pressure to get married is on. But getting married now could ruin my csr score and hamper my dream of being a PR holder.

Is there a way around this ?

Kindly advice.

First off, congratulations on your IELTS results.

For your industrial training experience, I don't think it will fly if it was gotten before graduation i.e before getting your bachelors degree.

Then, for your experience as a research assistant, the hours worked are less than 30 which means it won't fly as full time experience. Therefore, you can only claim 6 months for the 20hr/wk role(not sure what you can claim for the 10hr/wk role)

Anyway, I'm just thinking out loud...let others weigh in.

Teamo2:
Just had the courage to check my IELTS result and it could have been worse but not what I expected. First time LRWS 8,7.5,7,7.

ECA not yet ready, Masters.

Planned on claiming just one year because my work experience is a bit complicated but that will leave my score too low at 444.

Want to confirm if my work experience can go like this:
Paid Industrial training(NOC 2282, 40hrs/wk): 6months, reference letter can easily be gotten.

NYSC(NOC 4031, 40hrs/wk): 11/12months, reference letter not available but plan on writing it myself and notarize it with bank statement to support my claim.

Retail sale supervisor (NOC 6621, 50hrs/wk, paid family business ): 13 months, reference letter available, paid in cash.

Research assistant, (NOC 4012):
September 2017 - December 2017 (20hrs/wk)
January 2018 - April 2018 (20hrs/wk)
September 2018 - December 2018 (20hrs/wk)
January 2019 - current (Spring semester)(10hrs/wk)

I believe i should be able to use all this to claim 3yrs of work experience right?

Thank you for ur reply. Am 100% certain I didn't make any of these errors. I was very careful. I have clear handwriting I followed instruction and my spellings were error free. I honestly think I'm just a victim and I think its deliberately done. I wish I can see my paper to know what actually went wrong. After the test I discussed with my wife and our answers were same for the most we could remember. She scored a 9 in listening. I wrote with MOD. I don't really trust any Nigerian thing. I certainly know it will end in praise.
rosepetraa:

Sorry about your result. A lot of things could have contributed to the 7.5 in listening.
1. Spelling errors
2. using small letters for a proper noun
3. Not following instructions strictly

Is your writing legible ? Maybe an "e" looking like an "a"

If you are sure you didn't make any of thèse errors and you wrote with BC, you can give remark a trial (it will cost you 15k); but if your exam was with MOD, i wouldn't advice you remark because it costs more (46,124).

Good day everybody. I recently got my IELTS results and calculated my CRS, I scored 432. I'm presently considering the option of doing CIMA. Is there anyone in the house that we can link up or someone that has done it before or better still a group?

Also, are there other options of boosting the CRS?
I had LRSW 8.5,7.5,7.5,7.5. I'm not sure this is bootable since my CLB is already 9.

Thanks everyone, counting on your help.

Hello house

Has anyone paid for ICES courier service after paying $200 for ECA without courier? I need to pay for the courier so as to receive my ECA report quickly.

You could be done with it within an hour, if you're there early

Personally, I would suggest that you should be calm and see what happens in the next two to three draws. 449 is a good score that will fetch you ITA anytime soon as you can see there a steady drop in cutoff scores. It can be scary though but be hopeful

1. There are other materials you can make use of. Page 1 of this thread has links to some materials you can make use of
www.ieltsonlinetest.com will help you in Listening
Search for E2 language May on YouTube, his speaking technique is good as well.
You may want to chat chat up one of us here @Wassenewest on 08026543600. He's been helping people with writing.

2. WES accepts statement of Result, so you're good to go with that.
Also WAEC would be more straightforward than making use of your NECO result.
N/B Grades and class of degree doesn't matter on this journey

All the best

Welcome on board.
First, you may need to take out time to read page1 of this thread and understand the whole process and certain basic things about the process, then you can come and ask specific questions concerning your application.

There are many materials you can use for IELTS, many resources on YouTube, some websites and a few other links can be found on page 1 as well.

I wish you all the best.

With you current IELTS score you're just 3 points from the maximum IELTS points, go for the certification if it's been evaluated by the ECA bodies and can give you more points.

2.What about other provinces?

Thanks.
