gberra: Actually Nigeria Unity is at stake, APC will need a head to calm either of the Militant and Agitators so that PDP will not exploit them to cause trouble. |

would this figure remains the same till the end of the 9th Senate? I wish the law compelling a candidate to lose his/her seat once they defect would be enforced. Also,it can further be reviewed by making candidates of political parties who won elections using X platform to lose their positions to the candidate who came second once they defect. |

Originakalokalo:You're mistaken APC needs 12 more senators to have 2/3. So it won't be possible unless some defect. I see APC ending with about 68 senators. They may convince 5 to defect including the YPP guy. |

They need a solid loyalist for Senate President not a shifter drifter that can become a traitor anytime. |

okuneddie: SE cannot be the senate president. All their senators are first timers. Only a returning senator can be the senate president. It means they will still suffer the consequences of their 2015 miscalculations. Originakalokalo: On one side I wish it happens to speed up development but on the other side it can lead to dictatorship. But generally I want it to be one sided. By that we can know the real intentions of the government of the day. 1 Like |

Despite the fact that I support Buhari, I still don't feel happy about the outcome of the Senate. The moment we have them dominate the Senate, it would be a one party house and they may be doing any how. Which ever way, I wish the president elect a successful administration and hope he take us to the positive next level. God bless Nigeria. 1 Like |

Jombom: The fact that thist guy will go and sit somewhere away from my state is enough joy for me. Waiting for his people to loose in my state kwara come governorship election so i go rejoice. The irresponsible current governor is even from my town and nothing to show for it. we contribute to pay some teachers and renovate schools as they're in terrible states from our own pockets so the people there can go to school . 1 Like |

okuneddie: Newcomer to the Senate cannot become Senate President because he has no prior experience in the upper legislative house. Ikweremadu is gone too. Spoils of war Bruv. Senate President North or SW. I would have liked Shekarau. An upright and trustworthy man like PMB but he is a first term Senator so not possible. 1 Like |
