AMARACHI, the twenty-something-year-old wife of the captain of the national football team and English Premier League striker, Nwankwo Kanu, affectionately called Papillo, visited Nigeria from her England base last week.


The gorgeous mother of two boys was in town to participate in the obsequies of Stella Onyeador, a former wife of ex-Biafran warlord, Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, who passed on a few weeks ago.


Maintaining a sober mien and a barely audible voice at the service of songs last Thursday in Lagos, it was seemingly impossible not to detect her presence at the gathering. Her aura gave her away.


The Arochukwu, Imo State-born beauty, like wine, has got better with age. Tall and beautiful in an impressive way, her statuesque figure that earned her Kanu‘s admiration is not altered by two visits to the labour room.


The deceased, who played a prominent role during the Amarachi and Kanu marriage festivities in 2004, is a paternal aunt of the former.
