The Nigerian Army is an unprofessional, human rights abusing and law violating army that have allowed the presidency of Buhari to tarnish their image, respect and goodwill earned with a serious price by some of their dead or retired colleagues in the past. An army that is at best when intimidating, molesting or killing unarmed civilians.

SHAME !!!

Nigeria is truly backward...

You can never see the army used like this anywhere else.

The most annoying part is that, its not even on the presidents direct order(although he must have asked them to do whatever his party members ask them to), but an ordinary Minister for Transport. Like the Nigerian Army is being ordered around by a Minister. So shameful?? Where in the world can u see a thing like this?? That a cabinet member can use the Military to do whatever he wants.

Sometimes I am ashamed to be a Nigerian...its like we live in an alternate Universe, where things like this are applauded.

The international community will not see this one now. This will go along way affect the elections. I use myself as an example....prior to the presidential elections, I had resolved to exercise my right to vote but after what happened during the presidential in Rivers State and the huge military presence, coupled with all their actions on arrival to PH, I have decided to sit this one out....not just me, my entire household. And I am sure it is the same thing in most families too. My life is very important to me, I'm not about to waste it cause I want to vote.

So well done to Buhari, whoever is using the Army in Rivers State and also to the Nigerian Army....This is the better NIGERIA we prayed and hoped for.

The NA has started conducting a comprehensive forensic investigation of the footages to authenticate the validity or otherwise of the claims to guide its further actions.

The official apc thugs thinks Nigerians are dumb and foolish as they are, maybe they will conduct forensic investigation on the raided kitchen to autenticate the level of destruction to guide their further action on more raids.

...and it's scary knowing that we can't remove APC from power via the ballot box. I wonder what the next level of degeneration will be.

PRESS RELEASE :

ALLEGED INVASION OF THE RESIDENCE OF RIVERS STATE COMMISSIONER OF EDUCATION BY SECURITY AGENTS

The Nigerian Army (NA) has observed some CCTV footages in circulation on social media and other online platforms, allegedly showing soldiers of the NA and other security agents invading the residence of the Rivers State Commissioner of Education, Hon. Dr. Tamunosisi Gogo-Jaja.

The NA has started conducting a comprehensive forensic investigation of the footages to authenticate the validity or otherwise of the claims to guide its further actions.

In the view of these allegations, the NA, for the umpteenth time, categorically reiterate its position in the entire conduct of the 2019 General elections as severally and consistently espoused and
directed by the Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen TY Buratai which is - "NA is apolitical, neutral, impartial and will not compromise its constitutional roles under any guise".

For RE-emphasis, NA's responsibility in the entire electioneering process is only to assist civil authority, Nigeria Police and other relevant security agencies to - “provide a secure, peaceful and enabling environment for the successful and transparent conduct of the election”. Anything beyond this is not authorized and therefore totally unacceptable by the leadership of the NA.

Any military personnel comfirm to be involved in any professional misconduct, such a person/s would be dealt with decisively in accordance with the law.

To this end, the NA wishes to request well-meaning Nigerians to always forward genuine complaints and evidences of professional misconduct against any of its personnel for investigation and necessary action.

this is very very disheartening... the Nigerian army has descended so low... No wonder their lack of professionalism has cost them a lot of battles against Boko Haram... Terrible for the ruling party
