Right and wrong is defined by the law. I am a mathematician, not a lawyer. However, I am sure the constitution is silent on the issue.

However, this is a civil law specific, if the man who was slapped feels offended, he can sue. Or maybe any lawyer in the house can help him.

As for the pastor case, I felt offended because I considered the matter more from a religious angle. Why would a pastor who claims invisibility when it suits him use soldiers and policemen as guards?

Good. So we are saying d same thing. There are better ways in which security men can do their jobs without infringing on d rights of others. D constitution isnt silent on d issue. Its called assault.

You people don't want to be realistic at all.

The security guards are doing their jobs. There is a limit you can get around the person they are protecting. If you pass that limit, you will be regarded as a threat. There are instances where politicians and celebs can meet people, in which case, the security details would not be so tight. But not at this period.

Let us do it this way. Next time Davido is performing, jump on the stage and see if the security guards would pat you on the back.

Actually, fans jump on stage and hug Davido and Wizkid all the time... cheesy

Nonetheless, quit comparing Apples with Oranges. This dude is no star and is campaigning to be a PUBLIC SERVANT, which means that he will effectively be employed by the same CITIZENS that his professional purse-carriers are slapping about (I don’t imagine you yourself would go to a job interview and slap the employer). Unfortunately, some Nigerians still don’t get that basic relationship between public servants and citizens, but rather keep prostrating for public servants as if they are some sort of Kabyiesi, and thus leading them to treat you with contempt! so is it after they stab him or shoot him his security will react? A politician has just been murdered recently in Oyo State

If anyone wants to shoot him they don’t need to walk directly behind him... shocked

Politicians everywhere (even in the US with its extreme gun violence) walk into crowds and shake hands, take selfies and even kiss the proverbial babies. When will you people stop worshipping politicians/public servants and putting them on unwarranted pedestals. Yet same people will moan when these crude rent-seekers treat the public purse as their personal property and ordinary citizens as serfs and peasants.

So, you can walk behind Trump on a normal day?

Remember that politicians have days when they walk in crowds and meet people. There is a term for it. And this does not happen all the time.

Obama was one of the most impersonal president the world has seen. Yet, there were instances of street walks when barricades were put on either side of the street when he passed. No one would have been able to walk behind him.

A perfect illustration on how the average politician sees the average citizen in Nigeria. Ure only important during d election seasons. But as soon as their sure of their victory, they’ll nonchalantly look the other way when poverty is smacking d sh*t outta ur ignorant *ss! So keep on insulting and cursing each other out while they invest our common wealth on their children.

Below is a moment a man received a thunderous slap from a security personnel, for trying to "Walk Behind" Lagos State Governorship Candidate, Babajide SanwoOlu.

The man who was quietly following him to try and listen to their conversation, was left in stitches when the slap landed.

SanwoOlu who noticed what transpired, continued his movement.

Watch the video HERE

I don’t see anything wrong in what happened. What if the guy wanted to pick Sanwo-Olu’s pocket or has sinister intentions? Safety first.

YES of course, I can walk behind Trump on any day before he became President... shocked

Abegi, quit worshipping this dude. He’s neither a Trump nor Davido. He was not even Governor-Elect yet, just some dude begging the same persons his purse-carriers are slapping around for employment. SMH

Anyway, it is said that someone cannot Richard you from behind unless you are bent over, and the way some supplicants are busy defending this dude here epitomizes just how some Nigerians are eager to grab their ankles for politicians.

all mouth.

In case you don't know, presidential candidates as well as their spouses and children get state security protection in the United States.

You wouldn't dare go near them, except they are having a well-planned public meet up.

Have you forgotten how an elderly journalist was body slammed for insisting on getting close to Obama. Well, that is what you would get if you dared to go near Trump when he was contesting.

So that slapper was from the DSS then?! cheesy

If a US presidential candidate (heck, even a president) has some random dude slap a citizen for merely getting close to the candidate, such a candidate would be dragged through the mud and the slapper would face prosecution (btw, even Secret Service personnel do not have the freedom to arbitrarily assault people - that’s why you see so many policemen in the US facing criminal charges and prosecution). Accordingly, when Mr Trump was a candidate, his campaign manager Corey Lawendoski face an assault and battery probe for merely putting his hands on a female reporter. Your posts sadly indicate an lack of knowledge of how politicians in advanced and civilized democracies conduct themselves. They actually seek to ingratiate themselves with the common folk (drinking beer and eating hotdogs, etc), not elevate themselves above. SMH
