This looks to me like more of a case of contempt of office than contempt of court. The jugbe, in my opinion, might just be looking for an oportunity to fast track his career. Of all the people in the police chain of command, It's the Inspector General he is summoning to court on account of a , what's the guys rank sef  Was it the IG that presided over the case of the kidnaper? If he was really interested in justice and not just seeking attention he would have at least started from the policemans direct boss as at the time he was perpetuating these acts. |

This man Ogbona Onovo himself is a lawyer, with many degrees. The Judge might not know the law better than Onovo. Secondly, if all the law enforcement agencies like the police force, EFCC, Military, SSS, etc failed to arrest James Ibori with all the court orders, warrants, injunctions and counter injunctions, i don't see that happening now. Let's keep our fingers crossed. |
