some highly ridiculous people start spinning FAKE NEWS about their political
opponents... and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has been a major target online and
offline when major elections are coming up! These propagandists always

momentum online in early 2015, towards the Presidential elections. I did some
investigations on that issue too cause I was a bit flustered by that revelation
and I checked with some official sources in the US and till today, I
do NOT have a credible info on the veracity of that alleged payment.
The whole story is very OPAQUE!


All I know is that if the very brilliant Asiwaju Tinubu has a questionable
or shady past while he schooled, lived and worked with some of the
BIGGEST American consulting firms in Chicago, before coming to Nigeria
to work with Mobil Nigeria, he would NOT have had the ability to enter
the United States freely. It is possible that he may have committed some
UNINTENDED INFRACTIONS had to pay some fines, but it is not to do with
being a drug baron... otherwise America would have restricted his access
into the US.


Incidentally Sen. Buruji Kashamu and his late twin brother also
live in Chicago and we know he has refused to travel to the US to clear
his name over the alleged drug charges... although I read the interview
where he indicated that it was his lookalike twin that was originally
indicted in the US. I hope Buruji can clear his name by travelling to
America soon and lay this issue to rest.

I wish Tinubu had followed through and got paid billions of Naira in
damages by AIT to serve as a lesson to AIT and other garrulous
people or political propagandists that LIBEL and DEFAMATION of
character are punishable criminal offences any where in the world!

You are right about this information gaining traction some years ago. The information was debated extensively on some threads here on NL with links to court dockets etc. Those threads mysteriously disappeared when NL was allegedly hacked and it seems those threads are gone forever. But there are still links to the case on several news outlets online. A google search will confirm this.

Nobody pays half a million dollars to the US government for speeding tickets or overdue library books. No. The question still stands: did he or did he not forfeit the funds in his bank account to the US government? Were the funds not seized on suspicion of being the proceeds of narcotics trafficking and sales?

Someone on a plea bargain would never be on the WANTED LIST of drug barons.
