A 1-year- old student of Solid Foundation School has been left brutalized after being flogged by his teacher in Lagos.

According to reports, the teacher, identified as Dorris, has so far been unable to explain what the boy did to justify such brutality.

That teacher must be a terrible sadists and deserves to be locked up for a very long time. How wicked can a human being be? A one year old baby that doesn't know left from right....
Spank a child and watch how he or she would adjust when a similar incident would warrant flogging. The child would recollect what had happened hence he may not repeat it again

I swear I will knock off that teachers teeth if he or she tries it with my kid
Re: Teacher Flogs 1-Year-Old Boy In Lagos by Nobody: 10:42pm On Mar 15, 2019
I blame the school it self.

They probably made that Dorris lady take care of all those kids all by herself because they are all about cheap labor.

One is a hand full. More that one is hell! You feed them, change their diapers, sing rhymes, wash their food plates, etc. The school even forces the teachers to teach these babies how to write and other ridiculous stuff. WTH?!!!

Yet, these people are underpaid and unappreciated. They even receive insults from the kid's parents over little things.

That is why you hear cases of teachers drugging the little kids so they sleep and not throw tantrums.

Dorris couldn't quit her job so she ran mad.

If you are a new mum, don't take your pre nursery kids to a school where they only have one teacher in the class. 3 is okay.

That child should be in creche. Do you expect a busy parent to leave their child with a nanny?

Yeah it is. That teacher should be arrested. With the way things are going the government may be forced to ban flogging

To flog 1year old child is not bad at all. just do it small let the child know what he is doing is bad. i do use one of my finger to hit my 10months old bady when he craws to where i told him not to. Believe me, he dont go close to any wire bc he is already awere that is no go area. If you miss a child in the first 3years, you miss him forever. A friend of mine sent me a book on parenting, that book is wonderful.

But you have carers in creches not teachers.

Many creche still teach their pupils the basics of education. By the time the child is 3 years he or she would catch up.

Yeah but many teachers are transferring their frustration on their pupils

Even the parent that dropped the baby for beating should be asked questions.

A parenting book advised you to hit a 10month old? The author must be a prisoner.

Parents actually dump their kids in school and run away to work. Since it is cheaper than leaving the child at home and paying househelp to take care of the child (who may even later kidnap the kid).
Parents are in a tight corner.
Teacher is fraustrated with Nigeria and has no more space in her heart to console babies/children.

The teacher is just being insensitive, what does a one year old infant knows apart from making noise and eating ❓

Most of this kids are sent to school just for them to busy while their mum do other things not as if they know what they are doing in school

What's a 1 year old doing in school for God's sake?
That's a very big question, is it that we have to put food the table or mother is watching films or wants time sleep? Little children/toddlers are also suffering from the wicked leadership of Nigerian leaders.

Years ago,i withdrew my 2 yr old daughter from a school because i witnessed a teacher flogging a boy in her class.i didt even bother seeing the school authorities.they should have guidelines for teachers for kuds that age. i just made up my mind. how can u be flogging babies? do they even know why you are flogging them?

I use to tell my sons teachers how their HM sometimes flog pupils.

I told one of d teachers dat d day any of my sons will receive such flogging from d HM & got reported to me because I trust my boys, dem must talk. I told her I'll come wit my own cane to flog d hell out of her (The HM).
