Media Consultant and former Chairman of Nigeria Union Of Journalists in Imo State, Chief (Dr) Fidel Onyeneke has advised the Governor elect of Imo state, Chief Emeka Ihedioha to run an all inclusive government as a deliberate effort to satisfy the yearnings and aspirations of the Imo people.

Chief Onyeneke gave the advice in a congratulatory message to the Governor elect after he collected his Certificate of return from INEC.

He said that the challenges posed by the position of the governor were so enormous, and therefore required the cooperation and the prayers of well meaning groups and individuals for the smooth take off of the new administration.

Chief Onyeneke expressed happiness for the massive support of the Imo electorate towards the victory of Chief Ihedioha in the gubernatorial election.He described the Governor elect as a seasoned administrator and politician who had made immense contributions to the socio political and economic growth of the country.

The Media Consultant urged the incoming governor to have the interest of the masses at heart, and embark on projects that would touch positively on the lives of the rural dwellers.

Chief Onyeneke suggested the re invigoration of the local government systemand make them perform their constitutional functions in the interest of rural development. He equally called for the effective funding and use of the media in the act of governance to ensure enhanced communication between the government and the governed.

According to Chief Onyeneke, it is through the media that the government can feel the pulse of the electorate with a view to addressing their problems and needs. He reminded Imo people that the task of rebuilding the state,and uplifting the living standard and the welfare of the masses, required the joint responsibility of the government and the governed.

Chief Onyeneke expressed the strong belief that Imo state would move positively to the next level under the new dispensation of governance, considering the pedigree and antecedents of Chief Ihedioha.
