The problem is not to build but can you protect it to avoid Boko haram Demolition. Tomorrow you will hear that Boko Haram has bombed it.

Honestly I admire northern governors in every aspect except education sector. Our leaders down south will only blame one northerner, religion or political party for their failures yet we the so called educated followers will keep on voting for failure because we hate the people in other party.

Strategically weaning themselves off Nigeria's dependence on oil... Good thinking!

Very good development.
This Shettima is my own best
governor in Nigeria. You need to
see all the progress made in Borno
despite all the unrest happening there.

Good initiative but he got more money than many governors in this country via northeast development commission even so much money from foreign donors. Nigerians would have been suprised if he did not show workings for the huge amount of money he received

There is nothing to admire about them. They lack in healthcare, infrastructure and nearly every other sector. Majority of our poor rankings in development indices is mostly attributed to the North.

But after all, there is nothing to be admired about any Nigerian politician...

Africa’s largest Solar Panel factory has been set up in Borno State by Gov. Kashim
The fully automated Factory, situated at Jimtilo village Maiduguri is to produce 40 Megawatts worth of panels per year. Each panel will have capacity for 300 watts!!

It's owned by the govt.? It's owned by none. I expect this facility to rot given the trend of maintenance culture in Nigeria

Where is the solar panel now. What kind of useless post is this. I'm seeing only plant yet they said it is solar panel.

They should not rely only on 300watts. Produce 250w and 200w. Also make your pricing very reasonable
Well said

There's nothing to admire.
Until the North gets it right in human capacity, that is education, it can't make progress

They initiate white elephant projects to make a name and make money, yet 13m Nigerian children are out of school and 90% of that number is in the North

All of u posting comments here let us appreciate good things haba!
See this one shouting education education education
What has education done to Nigeria d educated seff are the most dependent but enter north a small boy is already walking around on his own (I'm not saying it's a good thing) but dis people don't support dependency like the southern people who at their mature ages cannot do anything let us face not deceive ourselves unless Education is free and compulsory nothing will happen these people know what they need and they go for it nothing stops them they are built like that and Re very dangerous due to this trait but una educated people wey no fit build or manufacture anything with all your years of exposure to education

festacman:
Dear Gov. Shettima, before you hand over, make solid arrangement to bring in private sector partner with proven knowledge of this business to run this wise and visionary investment efficiently, profitably and sustainably.

If this is not done, political appointees, legislators and top government officials will cart away panels without paying. Faced with such frustration, the helpless management would start helping themselves and finally the company would collapse and become history and a monument. There are many of such 'corporation casualties' scattered all over the country.

Don't worry, d next governor is a no nonsense man & this project is both government & private collaboration
