I am of the opinion that South East should get the Senate President everything should not be north and West, president North vice president West. Which one is left for the igbo speaking East the truth most be told for balanced of power I support igbo Senate President .My oppinon.

PDP would most likely emerge as senate president. Ali Ndume with about 16 years in the National Assembly has some supporters which would reduce the votes of Lawan especially in the North east where they both came from. Danjuma Goje though an APC member and former governor of gombe has followers too especially former governors in the Senate. You would recall that the former governors in the Senate had protested that one of them should be made the senate president. PDP too has also aledgedly thrown their weight on Goje which is a morale booster for him not to back down believing that he would emerge.

It may interest you to know that the election of the Senate president does not need obtaining of form or prior notice which makes declaration on the election day valid. Saraki has decided to keep his card to himself in agreement with PDP to decimate the votes of APC through many candidates while they present their sole candidate candidate qnd with juicy positions promise to some APC members which appear to be a full-proof for their candidate to emerge. Dino Melaye, Saraki right hand man is likely to be the candidate of the PDP.

44 bloc votes and 62 fragmented disunited votes are not Bloc votes. None of the contenders there are going to get 62 Bloc vote from APC because Las Las, all of them are working to finally bury APC before 2023.

No you are the one who is doing the wishful thinking. Now look at this: APC has multiple contenders and if they all go to the poll, PDP will have the single largest voting block just as it happened in 2015. PDP will then decide who wins. Think again man.

Clearly APC Legislators learnt zero from their last experience at selecting NASS leadership. The current replay shows they lack understanding of why they are Legislators on the platform of a political party which is to deploy lawmaking as a tool for advancing the manifesto of the Party in the larger interest of the citizenry.

Sadly, they lack sufficient education and development of the intellect acquired by regular reading of meaningful stuff to appreciate that!

I don't know what is mean by party supremacy or party interest? is it when few people decide who take what without carry other stakeholders along and begin to shouting party supremacy. Most of these senators are not school boy they are leader in their own right too.
