Most times, people just compile silly information without caring the damage that might do to some people, especially impressionable teenagers.
One of those nonsense information was a thread that hit the front page recently, telling people how bad almost all the foods they eat are .
Such information can be very dangerous, and can affect some people in a negative way.
It could cause mental distress.
There are two sides to a coin.
You can't simply put out such information without addressing the other side of it.
Do you know that eating eba, yam, rice, noodles, plantain etc will keep you alive longer than one who has anorexia or bulimia ?? Yes!
Information such as that one which was shared recently and carelessly pushed to the front page could cause teenagers who are unsure of themselves to develop an eating disorder such as anorexia or bulimia .
Which kills even faster and is difficult to treat because it's a mental disease fueled by the wrong information.
So my people, eat to stay alive.
Eat everything you crave but moderately.
Don't deprive yourself of delicious foods .
Don't be afraid to eat .
Nothing will happen to you.
Most Asians eat bread, rice, noodles every single day yet we don't hear of high death rate...especially in China, South Korea, and The Philippines.
