While Nollywood has grown in leaps and bounds, there are still some drawbacks out favourite film-makers suffer from. We are going to be exploring these drawbacks today.

While some of these trends might seem downright funny, some are quite serious and we are writing this in the hope that someone from the industry sees it. So tell a friend to tell a friend about this article which is on the baddest platform ever, SCOOPER.

Here we go, four things we honestly wish Nollywood would stop or go easy on

Make-out Scenes

When you watch a Hollywood flick, the sensual scenes are so real you end up wishing the on-stage couple date, marry and live happily ever after in real life.

In Nollywood, things are quite different. From slurpy kisses to a gross lack of chemistry, it's always cringe-worthy and we are here to tell them to stop. Eez nr by force to kizz.

Action Scenes

Ever seen Odunlade Adekola or AY(Comedian) try to act a fight scene. If yes, I am so sorry. If no, you don't know how lucky you are. From the obviously fake blows to the even faker gunshots and bullets that look like something out of an 1884 cartoon, it's just bad guys. STOP EET!

Ghosts

Yoruba movies have the most animated powder-wearing ghosts ever! Nollywood ghosts are always dressed in sparkling white "wrappers and singlets". They tend to always be angry and are prone to flogging their unfortunate victims. Nollywood stop, please.

Happy Endings

Nollywood movies never have sad endings, it's always happy and that is just a drag. Sometimes we would really appreciate plot twists or totally messed up endings just like Titanic or more recently "Me Before You".

There you have it. Do you have any other "annoying" trend to add? Hit me up in the comments section.

.......

Watching Nigeria movies is like starting a novel from the epilogue.... you'll just know how it would end right from the first scene.....

No suspense......

No scene break.....

Always playing songs when scene folds.... na dis one bin dey pain me pass.
