Surprise was the word, as apro-Jonathan group was refused entry into Nasarawa state Government House, Lafia, leaving the members bewildered by the action of the state government.
The Governor, Aliyu Akwe Doma, it will be recalled, had promised he would deliver the state to President Jonathan next year.
The Abuja based group, National Democratic Youth Movement for Good Governance (NDYMGG), which is out to reach out to youths across the country to build support based for Jonathan’s presidential bid, had visited the Government House, perhaps to confer with the state chief executive, but were barred from seeing the governor.
Leader of the group and national coordinator, Chikat Ishaya Lekshak, said the group was disappointed by the state governor’s refusal to receive them.
“The reason we chose to come to Nasarawa was because Doma was among governors who openly declared support for Jonathan, and only for us to be embarrassingly shunned,” he told newsmen.
Lekshak said the group was further bewildered when it noticed that all its Goodluck Jonathan posters pasted round Lafia, were superimposed with those of IBB.
