Darz bad.. Still tanker explosion when will Nigeria get over this menace

Never.....

It's not peculiar to Nigeria.

If you transport these products regularly, accidents are bound to happen.

In Nigeria's case, petroleum is majorly transported by road. So it's only logical that you will see these things happen on the road.

A mitigating solution will be to revive and expand refineries, develop internally dreged canals and waterways to support barges and ships for water haulage, expand our rail network to support haulage, and possible exploration of alternative fuels.

Of course for as long as we continue to rely on petrol, we cannot escape the accidents. They can only be reduced or at best restricted to certain areas. An accident on the rail or in the water may not claim as many lives as it would in a heavily populated area.

But then again, you still have last mile haulage. That would have to happen by road however you look at it. WIth poorly planned cities and slums, that will be a hotspot still. So back to square one.
