EPHRAIM INYANG INDUCTED AS HONORARY FELLOW AT IIM AFRICA

The Institute of Information Management (IIM) in Africa at its 2019th induction and investiture ceremony has inducted Commissioner for Works, Akwa Ibom State, Mr Ephraim Inyang-Eyen as an honorary fellow.

This year's ceremony which had as its theme: "Democratic Governance and Good Democracy: Effective data and information management, a panacea for building effective State institutions in a peaceful and productive society", was held Saturday at the prestigious University of Lagos main auditorium, Akoka Yaba, Lagos State, South West Nigeria.

However, the IIM-Africa Honorary Fellow membership remains the highest award that the institute confers on individuals.

The Institute is a body of professionals in the field of information management, with the mandate of improving professionalism in the field through mobilizing, training and inspiring practitioners using the tools of synergy and certification.

Part of the citation of the Commissioner extolled the qualities of the honouree and explained why Mr Inyang-Eyen who is also fellow of the Grand Patron of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Zone F (South South) was singled out for induction.

The Works boss who was represented by the Information Officer of the Ministry dedicated the Award to Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom for giving him the opportunity to serve his home state and thanked the institute for recognizing his little modest contributions.

Meanwhile, this conferment adds to the long list of Mr Inyang-Eyen’s awards and recognitions both on the national and international stage.
