FG had no problem with Ipob. They had Kanu under constant surveillance at his Afaraukwu home and monitored his movement in public. So they were content to maintain that distance with Ipob.

It was your governors in SE that developed anxiety and went into panic mode because Ipob was winning Igbos over to their Biafran crusade and Kanu had become an authority. Kanu was telling Igbos to disobey the governors and ordering sit at homes and boycotts with successful response.
