Mambas are common throughout Sub-Sahran Africa. The Black mamba has not been recorded in Nigeria but other types of Mambas are common. Infact, I killed a Green coloured Mamba sometime in 2016.

u dont get that close to a snake,mamba or not. U use a pole,a handgun or stones.Only once i killed a snake with a cutlass but that was because it was the only handy weapon within reach,.. i lifted an old car seat and i saw it curled. Had to steel up and use it.. Nothin like a good old steel rod or pipe to confront a snake,..in the absence of a handgun Or big stones...it will keep striking/spitting at the pole ,while u take powerful aims at the head or upper spine
