Travel to states with low cost of living unlike Lagos PH or Abuja. Rent a room apartments in suburb or rural places close to the cities between 1500-2500 monthly that's about 12000-20000 for 6months including tenancy agreement. That way you will be more stable and organized to plan rather than sleeping on the streets or squating with someone.

Assuming you spent 17000 on rent you can use 2000 to buy a few household items like bucket and small pot. You don't have to start spending on stuffs like mattrass at least for now.

Remember the three basic needs food shelter & clothing. You need food security pending when you will get a job in your new location. Eating out in Nigeria cost between 200-400 for a plate of meal and you don't wanna take such chances considering you have limited resources so you buy in bulk and cook to save more..if you travelled with food items that's a plus for you if not take 5000 to the market.

In Enugu for instance,

A painter of rice 1100-1300
2 painter of garri 600
1/2 painter of beans 600
6 tubers of sized yam 1000
1 custard of crayfish 600 (key) grind and store dry
1 bottle of red oil 400
1 bottle of vegetable oil 300
1 sachet of Salt 50
1 sachet of maggi 100
pepper onions etc 250

Resist the temptation of jumping from restaurant to restaurant at least until you get a job as it turns out to be a foolish venture on the long run. Now you have secured your feeding its time to look for a means.

If you have academic qualifications getting a decent job might take some time except you are lucky or you already have an appointment prio to your relocation...In the absence of that remember you have just 6000 left as your security money and you will be due in 6months time. You can start a menial job that does not require a shortee like block industry ,car wash ,barman. You'd be earning between 12000-18000 monthly while you look for a better job.

If you plan very well in 6months time you should be having some savings while you pursue your bigger goal
