Hey brother!
Today, the clock chimes
As it wails a year of your dolourous departure

Time whispers to me again
Your abduction by the Pale Rider
O, how heartrending that it had to be you!
You, who have embedded, in the melody of songs,
Gaiety to invigorate one's irksome days

Time echoes to my ear once again
The doleful tidings of your demise
You, who have left, in the lyrics of songs,
Profound lights to brighten up one's sulky nights

With your own share of the few years,
You left, imprinted on the sands of time,
Inestimable impacts that would outlive millennia
Yours was indeed a heroic time
Sleep on, musical knight!
