Chevron, an American oil giant has claimed ownership of the oil wells razed in Ondo State on Thursday as it disclosed it was attacked by Saboteurs.Chevron who in its statement disclosed that third-party saboteurs are suspected to have allegedly attacked its oil wells in Ondo,  disclosed that the fire incident affected a facility which is a joint venture with the Nigeria National Petroleum Company, NNPC in the Southern Senatorial District of Ondo State.

Though the fire incident is yet to be extinguished and has spread to communities within the location of the oil wells, the company’s General Manager, Policy Government and Public Affairs, Esimaje Brikinn, assured that efforts were on towards quenching the fire.
