That local government area is the most dangerous area in Rivers state and despite the area being riddled with Police and Army checkpoints at almost every electric pole the killings and kidnappings continue unabated almost every day.

our police already have technology to track mobile devices just that criminals are getting wiser

Is this story different from the incident of same route yesterday Thursday, around 2pm where a 18 seater bus was attacked with the full passengers kidnapped. My vehicle ran into the scene immediately after the operation. Then after that, another kidnapping took place an hour or so later where a Shell staff driver was shot dead and two Shell staff kidnapped. The bus attacked was even in company of police escort. That route is deadly, only God is the hope of travellers.

The kidnappers reside in the communities along the road and are indigenes which is why both the political and traditional rulers have been largely mute.

Until we Nigerians begin to condemn and expose criminals or people of doubtful character in our midst this things unfortunately will continue.

Many people rent houses, have cars and raise families but do not work and nobody asks how is that possible.

Where are you going precisely? Rivers is a nice and beautiful place to visit. Though sometimes the media just spoil the image of rivers. No state in Nigeria is free from crime.

Blame it on the government. There is no hope for the youth because of our corrupt leaders. So they get frustrated and allow the devil to use them. The government should draw out programmes to give hope to the youth. Meanwhile, police just set up check points for collection of money. How can they check the activities of criminals with their evil mindset.?

u can't give a bus driver a gun with a license, but a banker and a fuel station manager, for example? yes, that's an attestation to character and rational towards use of firearms for protection , there was a case when an armed gunman stormed an outlet and had superior fire power here in the US, on seeing the law enforcement officers battling to keep stance the neighbors stormed out comprising of ex marines, 3 ex rangers and an off duty cop, opened and directed punishing fire on the assailant and saved the life of the two officers. that's will power and fire power, fear the man who steps out to defend his freedom, fear his will power to defend his family and country, foreign or domestic
