It was a day of commotion at the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, AAUA, in Ondo State as students hit the school environs to protest over what they described as “obnoxious” policy of the school management. The protest by the students, according to reports, was instigated by the ‘No School Fee, No Test’ order given by the management of the university.

The protest was later followed by an order from the school authorities which stated that students should vacate the campus and embark on a mid semester break so as to calm the situation down and prevent the disruption of law and order but the students and the destruction of school properties.

A statement by the school Register, Dr Sunday Ayeerun read;

“The Management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, has approved a Mid-Semester break for all students of the University.All students of the university are, therefore, advised to proceed on the Mid-Semester break with immediate effect."

“Students are to resume to campus on Monday, May 20."

We hope that before then, law and order must have been maintained and situation calmed down.
