If he claimed it happened in Nigeria then he is telling lies. Tellers won't release Dollars to you without printing out the serials of the notes first, then they ask you to sign against the printed serials before releasing the currency.

It is impossible that the said Teller wrote printed multiple serial numbers and asked him to sign against them before getting his money. And we aren't just talking about any amount but 12,000 USD? People tell unreasonable lies to trend these days.

Don't mind him... So he also thought she gave him $10 denomination. Pure lies

Even if you know how they keep and protect their USD and will have to count and recount before issuance he won't dare open that his gutter mouth.

Banks don't even pay nor collect any denomination lesser than $50.

I had an inflow of $13,000 credited to my account earlier and I didn't even report it and they deducted it the following day. Went to report and told the BM to issue a letter of reconciliation. USD in Nigerian bank is being treated like god

A couple of these so called celebrities believe their audience are people who have probably not eaten in weeks or don't know even know what Dollars are.

I had an inflow like yours one time and the Devil had one me over immediately. Before I could finish spending the money in my head, I received a second alert indicating that it had been deducted.

Dollars are no doubt worshipped in banks and it is almost impossible to be overpaid on an FX counter. Almost impossible!

Story...
How did you not know the difference between USD12000 and USD1200 on the spot.
Let’s clarify, assuming the teller paid you 100 dollar bills, that will be 120 pieces as against 12 pieces, and you couldn’t notice this on the spot?

Nothing is impossible but I find it hard to believe the part where he said he didn’t know until he got to his car. Tellers in developed countries are trained to can’t the notes one by one on the table or on the machine so that the cctv can pick it as evidence or the teller didn’t count in his presence

Are you expecting a special praise for this. It is just basic. Remember there are CCTV camera in the back that captured you and they can prosecute him with that evidence. You sign signed faithfulness and loyalty to the bank just like they did to you.
The act alone is commendable. I understand you from the point of view. Bit let's appreciate him and let others know what's not yours will never be yours if you like claim it with all your might. Despite the cctv whatever yet, many will not Return the EXCESS. Bless you Bro.

SOMETHING SIMILAR HAPPENED TO ME. I QUIT A JOB HOWEVER THE COMPANY KEPT ON MAKING DIRECT DEPOSIT INTO MY ACCOUNT BI-WEEKLY. I DIDN'T SAY 5HIT! THEY REALIZED THEIR MISTAKE AFTER LIKE 2 MONTHS AND THEY DEDUCTED THE LAST PAYMENT FROM MY CHECKING ACCOUNT! I CALLED MY BANK AND THREATENED THEM THAT NO-ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO MAKE A DEDUCTION FROM MY CHECKING ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION AND I DON'T CARE HOW THE MONEY GOT IN THERE, THE FACT IS THE MONEY CANNOT LEAVE MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION....GUESS WHAT? THE BANK CREDITED MY ACCOUNT BACK AND SENT ME AN APOLOGY BY EMAIL!
YES.....THAT'S RIGHT.....IF MY PREVIOUS COMPANY IS STUPID ENOUGH TO KEEP PAYING ME AFTER I QUIT, THEN IT'S ON THEM NOT ME!

I once did this and regretted. I was a Corp member in faraway North East and having received alert for allawee I went to the bank to withdraw 10k so, I requested that she add some 500 notes and this got her angry. Out of anger, she gave me all notes in 500. 20,000 instead of 10000. I was about going when I noticed it. I called her attention to it, she just collected it without saying thank you. I regretted giving her because she did not appreciate it.

But your father in heaven did. Jesus healed 10 lepers but only 1 came back to say thanks. Your own reach that?

Before this Naira MasterCard, if you wanted to buy something online you needed a Dollar MasterCard or Visa.

I paid $90 into my account and I was credited $900. I immediately contacted them and they corrected it. Mistakes do happen

This story is certainly not true.
So a cashier with two eyes gave you about #4million instead of 350k just like that?
Lets imagine in the case of the naira, #1200 and #12,000 na the same?

Anything over $10000 is automatically reported to the FBI, so they scrutinize it like crazy

The $10,000 limit has nothing to do with the bank’s own regulations. The Bank Secrecy Act requires financial institutions to report daily transactions on any account involving $10,000 or more. This applies whether you walk into the bank with $10,000 or you hand over a withdrawal slip requesting it. The bank will fill out a form to report the transaction to the government.

Some people assume that banks keep millions of dollars in cash in their vaults. Unfortunately, this is not the case. If you try to take out a million dollars at once, for instance, your bank will likely need to have the money shipped to its branch, which means filling out a request and waiting. If you plan to take out more than $10,000 in cash, you should contact your branch in advance to find out how much notice they’ll need.

Of course, there’s also the issue of the ATM limits. These limits can vary from one bank to another but generally, you’ll be limited to only a few hundred dollars per day at a machine. These limits go as high as $2,000 at some Citibank machines and as low as $300 with Wells Fargo. You’ll also see limits on your debit card in the low thousands of dollars, so it might be worth getting a credit card before you go on that pricy vacation.

One time, I wanted to withdraw $7k, you need to see the hassle I went through.

This is not like Nigeria, where your thieves aka politicians carry money around like its nothing

So people believed this half baked lies...?

I guess they haven't withdrawn dollars from a dorm account before...
This is almost impossible considering how they pay you dollars when you go withdraw from a bank in Nigeria... and by the way $1200 is just 12 pieces of $100 bills while $12,000 is a whooping 120 pieces...one full bundle of $100 bills plus extra 20 pieces... Lying liar and mumus are beliiving unless this is not a Nigerian bank

no mind that bloddy liar, in some banks first person would count the dollars before handing to the next to count and still use the counting machine to count for the third time.
