It is no longer news that Pastors in Nigeria have been bitten by the bug of buying jets so they could fly around as celebrities. One has just told us he is aiming at acquiring about 50,in addition to the one he has just bought.Really? So members will be flown all around Nigeria for free but will he also fly members who are hungry and living in penury who do not know when the next meal would come.Have these Pastors ever considered going into mechanized farming, start ups to help create employment instead of the imaginary and stupid agenda of flying members in aircrafts we can hardly produce one of its nuts in Nigeria.See why Oyibo people hardly take us seriously?

Seems like u have nothing to say, some of them have huge investments in Agriculture. Both Landmark University and Covenant University have large farms that feed the campus and nearby communities.

may be they should spread the gospel internationally with okada and keke.
Some of those pastors travel more than Buhari and yet we don't question Buhari for having almost a dozen jets.

Jesus Christ lived an exemplary life of absolute humility from birth to death and He expects His followers, especially those who are privileged to be shepherds of His flocks to continue to live in such humility.

It is generally expected of pastors who earn their living from church contributions and donation to NOT live above or below the living standard of their members. That's is the mark of humility before God Almighty. You can't continue to flaunt the gifts in the midst of abject spiritual, moral and financial poverty in the guise of glorifying the Giver. Our lives as Christians should reflect the Giver's glory NOT the gifts.

Did early missionaries in Africa finish spreading it in their backyard or stop over in middle east before spreading it to Africa?

this isnt time to spread any further. It is time to educate the people which the gospel has already been spread to .
I mean, there are no point jumping to another country when the country you are have at hand to teach and educate about scriptures are lacking in knowledge
Imagine, going to these countries with your private jet to teach bible, they will look at you and some sensible one among them will ask, how many bible knowledge people in your country nigeria have that they are known to be the most corrupt people?
And on top of your private jet, you will not have a valid answer to that question, is that not ridiculous?

You that has the idea, start it. Don't impose your God-given idea on others. That's just being lazy. Do what is in your mind to do.

Your idea is good. But like someone said up there. Be the change you desire. I believe no one is entitled to complain about what they are not wiling to change. So you start it.

No!
Infact England and France were the most corrupt people then
But atleast missionaries introduced the right teachings of the scriptures in their country a long time ago and the effect over the years is that, these nations became less corrupt over the years till today, that isnt the case in nigeria.
In England and France, they already had the accurate interpretation of scriptures inspite that things were not ok in their country, so they had the confidence to spead the truth they know to other parts of the world.
Missionaries brought christianity to this region of africa called nigeria today about 4 centuries ago. Instead of the level of corruption improving, the situation was fast deteriorating to what we are experiencing in nigeria today.
Why?
Because the missionary doctrines and teachings to africans in collaboration with african traditional beliefs(which was practically different from the doctrines of the church of england) do not correlate with common sense, logical reasoning, science and educational research and methodologies.

So the very truth England know did not translate to africa because of african tradition.

Now tell me, is that the kind of baseless doctrines a pastor in africa will buy private jet and travel to a developed country where people are more educated to teach?
I dont get it?

If you truly have the knowledge teach your people first, because your people are lacking knowledge from the look of things

3 sure things every money focused and fame freak pastors crave for;

1. Owning a big auditorium of at least 50,000 seater.

2. Building a university

3. Finally they will do everything possible to be on the list of private jet owners.

Once you can polish your English, read motivational books, books written by great physiologist, and carry yourself with high self esteem and finally have small funds to rent hall and invest in Musial instrument.

You will surely get your return, church business is daily income you can’t go broke as a pastor. Within few months you will recover your money.

NB: The modus operandi to make money, make sure you don’t run out of church programs and make your programs or revival theme has a correlation with the problem your target members are going through. A classic and mature theme not like the ones of these igbo churches and try as much as possible to bring one or two popular gospel artist like Frank Edward, Tim goefrey and Tope alabi etc.

Do everything to make your church popular, before you know it, you’re already swimming in money. Less I forget try and give room for testimonies, get people to testify just anything positive you dot necessarily have to do miracles and wonder, just arrange people and let them say sweet testimonies that works like magic.

Don't be deceived because the flying jet pastorprenours will never do what will benefit the society except God touches their heart to repent.
Funny enough a lot of their poor followers don't know that they are the Church and not the physical structures, cry cry .

The aim is to transfer their warped selfish scriptural bent of mainly "sow a seed and get a call next week for a job you are not qualified for".

If the pope, head of the richest denomination, flies commercial but the black ones from poverty impoverished nations will want you to believe the need private jet to preach .

England and France still have issues. The issue of gay marriage is prevalent in England which is against the same Christian doctrines they send to Africa

but in terms of general morality africa is far lagging behind?

Whoever practices gay, that is his own cup of tea, it will never affect the next person negatively.
But someone who corruptively steals public funds, that action alone will tell on the whole nation.
