The  Founder and Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Apostle  (Prof) Johnson Suleman will be heading to Juba, the capital city of South Sudan for a two days open heavens crusade amidst myriads of insecurity concerns in the world's newest country.

You would recall that South Sudan attained independence from Sudan on July 9, 2011, after a bloody civil war with the ethnically Arab north that lasted for decades. Almost 99 percent of voters had voted for independence in a referendum, and the new country was swiftly recognized by the international community.

Since the declaration of independence, the country have been grappling with insecurity, inter-ethnic violence, which have placed the citizens on an unprecedented throes.

A look into the Canadian government's website which was last updated on April 26, 2019 10:55 ET, all Canadians have been advised not to travel to South Sudan, due to armed conflicts, inter-ethnic violence and high levels of violent crime, same applies to UK citizens and the US as well.

There are daily reports of fighting between armed groups across the country, and regular reports of serious criminality in Juba. There’s no official government curfew in Juba, but the British Embassy and most international organisations observe a self-imposed curfew, the timing of which changes in response to the situation, this is what the UK government website published which is still valid as at today.

Apostle Johnson Suleman is one of the few preachers who still takes the gospel to volatile areas where many are afraid to enter.  He has had crusades in Northern parts of Nigeria despite Boko haram and herdsmen menace. It's on record that he has confronted some dreaded cult group and he prevailed over them through the instrumentality of God's power and might.

As he takes the gospel to Sudan, let's endeavour to pray for him as God commands. The crusade will take place on Tuesday April 30- May 1
