From my experience, not anymore. I once tried to book before I got ITA and I was told I can't until I have ITA. Immediately I got ITA, I was able to book by sending my Invitation letter which they used to fix an appointment on a favorable date.

I believe they used to allow people book before ITA which meant that sometimes, people with ITA (who are in immediate need of medicals) don't get the opportunity. Based on that, I quite agree with this new method of booking for only people with ITA.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Please I need advice, me and my wife have been nursing the ambition of relocating to Canada but somehow we couldn't start the process last year but we want to start the process now.

The issue is, I want to use an agent for the whole process but my friend is advising that I do it on my own that it's possible and easy to do. Truly from what I have read here and from all the info I have gathered so far, I think I can do it in my own.

Please advice me people, is it better to use agent or to to do it on my own?

to add to points others have stated here.

Do not forget to tick ALL PROVINCES when filling " provinces you intend to live" in your application. This is important

Some people say you have to stay in the province for about 2/3years before you can live elsewhere, others says until you acquire citizenship. Personally I don't know if there is any legal obligation to remain in the province after you have landed. Note that I said personally

What i have seen on canada visa and the pnp thread here is that there is an expectation of spending two years in the province that nominated you. After all, they most likely nominated you to fill their own labor market needs. But honestly the jury is still out on whether this is enforced at the time of citizenship or not.

Good morning everyone. This thread has really been enlightening. I came in here with zero knowledge but now I know some things at least. Been asking random questions and checking the CRS with a proposed score in my head grin but I want to come out straight because I need advice, suggestions and encouragements.

I am a lady
I clocked 30 Jan 2019 and my husband will clock 30 by Nov 3rd 2019; so he is still 29. I have been the only one looking for materials. He wants to relocate but has paid zero attention to writing ielts. it doesn't look like he wants to write it. I swear I have talked about it tire but he has turned deaf ears to this.

We both have BSc and as our highest qualification. I have six years work experience but he has been an entrepreneur that has not hammered so we can't use his account because he is constantly broke. I can afford the account balance/statement for the both of us

Now from the tests I have been trying ehn...the thing hard o and I don't really have time like that because of work. I have not even gotten up to 7 in the few tests I took.

We have no family in Canada or job or anything that will give us Canada score grin

I would have loved him to be the PA but his account statement nko, no interest in Ielts exam, no work experience, his business is registered but no tax has been paid yet because its high.

We want to relocate o but he is the kind that has interest in something but does nothing to achieve it and will be excited if we get the PR.

Please is there any training center in Lagos where I can go for one on one training? I need to get like 9 seriously. I have some e-materials but I think I can learn better one on one or if I offline tests before the exam.

I studies Health Education and he studied Chemical Engineering.

What suggestions do you guys have for me, i really wish to start a life there.

Can i apply alone first and add him later? because the ranking so far no even reach 390 not to talk of 400. He won't let me go alone if I get PR. What else can I do to increase our CRS within a short time?

Then for the WES, people who used NECO, how did you go about it? I have not collected my original result. Or is there another body I can use instead of WES?

My ielts exam is on July 20th.

I have a lot in my mind to ask but this is long already.

Thanks as you guide and encourage a sister. God bless
This is arguably the funniest request I have seen on here. You were just making jest of your husband. grin cheesy

We want to relocate o. grin Is July 20 not too early based on your practice score? Let's wait for the elders. smiley

It may be hard to dig up someone that has gone through that. It is a 50-50 thing. Every case is looked at individually and the case handler atimes decides how it goes. I used just reference letter and no other document was requested to back up my employment. Some did the same and got an ADR for pay slips/pay stubs, proof of payment into bank account, employment letter and the likes...so you see...it all depends. A long time ago though i read of someone who was paid by hand too but i honestly cannot remember how that ended. Cheers!

EDIT: Found this on first page for a couple of folks paid in cash who eventually got PPR: https://www.nairaland.com/5031893/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/142#76663649

Good morning all,
Please I just want to start this journey o, please I will need your help here gan ni o.

First of all, who can be a primary applicant btw my husband and I? I'm a lawyer and my husband is van sales rep, he has HND. As a van sales rep.what is his NOC? And what's is my own NOC? Who has a better change btw us? But the salaries are small but we can raise fund from family.
Thank you.

First, welcome to the journey. The decision is the first step. My family was right where you are now sometime in 2016. First, there are a lot of factors involved. your age, your hubby's age. whose income is more defined or traceable, who is most resilient etc. Your law will give good points as it will be evaluated as a professional degree. His HND could also do that as it could be evaluated as 2 or more certs. Whoever is younger between you two is who is most recommended to be the PA. For noc codes, you can use this link to check which you both fall into: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/find-national-occupation-code.html

Sales and account reps fall under C so it will not be valid for EE. Howver, technical sales specialist does. So that means the type of sales rep he is will determine if his work will be valid for the process or not.

For yours, its 4112 under A so you are valid

....my submission, be the PA.

Cheers!
