But let's be honest, if this is to be based on merit, qualification and who will perform best,Nwajiuba is the man and not Gbaja.
It's just that in this country, tribalism and nepotism have taken the place of merit and performance
Keep merit aside because femi is more qualified based on all legislative qualifications.but i wont mind seeing nwajiuba as the next speaker.even buhari prefers him than femi.he is the most loyal igbo man to buhari apart from maybe osita okechukwu.he has been with buhari since 1999 following him round politically.he is a diehard buharist even more than him.if femi doesn't get it,let him get it with wase still being deputy with femi retaining his current post.
Funny enough, hon chike okafor might end up supplanting him eventually.

Definitely not happening, after showing APC pepper during the elections. The North doesn't forget.

Emeka Nwajuba is buhari's political godson, his emergence might be a joker to checkmate SW, this matter is beyond north doesn't forget

A yeebow wouldn't smell the seat. He's just deceiving himself.

Probably wants to get "settled" under the table.
Igbos have smelled that seat before and will smell it again soon.
4 years of sudden Yoruba relevance will not change that.

Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba vigorously campaigned for President Buhari even before the emergence of Mr President in 2015. In 2019, he boldly campaigned for President Buhari under the platform of Accord Party even when those in APC were afraid to feature the picture of the president on their billboards. He has been a loyalist from the onset.

Nigerian politicians and there abracadabra, he's legally unqualified as he presently belong to a different political party, until he declares or defect to APC he cannot claim anything under APC. All those buhari loyalist card is mere propaganda. If he was so close to buhari, he would have prevailed on okorohausa to give him his ticket. Until he declares for APC officially on the floor of the house he cannot contest for the post of the speakership

you do realise what happened in ilorin a single city out of all cities in Kwara state isnt a jihadist war, but rather the choice of the people to follow islamic leadership under Fulani's Alimi's son Abd as-Salam as opose Central leadership of alafin. and you also realise Afonja might be an ilorin man he isnt yoruba ancestor as he was just an ilorin ruler of 18th century and their are lots of city making up yoruba kingdom. most of you are quite misinformed about this history if not you would have read of how the great ibadan wariors massacred and conquerd fulani wariors and their huasa slaves in 1840 at Oshogbo.

The guy truly had a goog pedigree but dream of actualising his dream of becoming speaket at this present green chamber can't materialised now unless miracle happens.

The same way we had open debate to select the President and Governors bah?

Dee60:

My suggestion.

Let them all have an open debate and let the people back the best of them.

Enough of politicians trumping up ethnic cards.

I dont care which tribe you belong, we just need the best candidate who will work to push the right laws geared at Nigeria's development.

I dont think the last set had any plans for Nigeria. When they were not on vacation they were busy looking for how to win elections and stay put in power.

Stop deceiving yourself bro. He's legally unqualified to contest. He must defect openly at the green chamber and the speaker must read out his defection letter

Is he Nigerian in Biafra or a Biafran in Nigeria, all we want is a Nigerian in Nigeria with a Nigeria mindset.

He is just as “Nigerian” as you...body and soul like the quack reporter noted. That is why they are all jostling to answer “speaker” when they are not even qualified to be driver.

Corrupt and selfish people in high and even low places..
