Stop deceiving yourself bro. He's legally unqualified to contest. He must defect openly at the green chamber and the speaker must read out his defection letter

What do you mean by legally unqualified? Is there a law of the federal republic of Nigeria that precludes someone who isn't in the ruling party from contesting for the leadership of any of the houses in the national assembly?

This is a sincere question. I really have't heard of such a law.

There is no such law.
My point is, He's not legally qualify to run under APC that holds the majority. He's qualify to run under his Accord Party with the support of APC majority.

IMO STATE YOUTH PARLIAMENT HAILS CHIKE OKAFOR FOR DRAGGING THE SYMPATHY OF THE RULING PARTY TO THE FAVOUR OF SOUTH EAST FOR SPEAKERSHIP
DESCRIBES HIM AS THE MOSES OF THE REGION.
COMPELS NWAJIUBA TO STEP INTO THE SHOE OF HIS SUBSTITUTE LIKE THE BIBLICAL JOSHUA TO LEAD SOUTH EAST TO THE SPEAKERSHIP POSITION.
The Imo state youth parliament has praised the embattled okigwe South law maker Hon Deacon Chike Okafor for taking the bull by the horn against all odds to agitate for the south east on the equitable distribution of pivotal principal positions that control powers in the different arms of government.
The Parliament expressed shock on the impromptu substitution of his Victory in the middle his speakership adventure to liberate the south east. The Parliament felt sober for the court decision against the vibrant law maker but was consoled that his substitute is not a pushover and has the national clout to pull the strings.
The parliament is indeed pleased with the embattled law maker for taking a step in the right direction and he Deacon Chike Okafor will be seen as the hero of the south East.
On the other hand,The Parliament has called on Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba to sustain the struggle for the Speakership.
The Parliament stated that Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba must not hesitate to link up the south east to National main stream. They Urged him as being a ranking member of the house he is qualified and has all the prerequisites for contesting the speakership and being a secretary of the constitution of the merger of the formation Of the ruling party he must have laid very good working relationship with the party, and on that grounds must resume consultations for the Speakership race.
The Parliament has reinstated that its sole interest is to ensure that the south east gets speakership or senate presidency in order to balance the federal character equity and regional justice. The Youthful Parliament have vowed not to relent in the pursuit for speakership from South east extraction.
Furthermore,The Parliament has called on all aggrieved parties whom are not elated with the court decision not to cry over the spilt milk
;but rather all hands must on deck to achieve the bigger goal which is getting a Speaker or Senate presidency from South East extraction. That is the only way of still believing we are still part of this Nation called Nigeria and attract quality dividend of democracy to the region.
We must not be retarded by the electoral cum judiciary distraction but remain focused on ensuring a South easterner gets the primus inter-peres of the legislative arm of the country.

9th National Assembly: Youth Council wants Speaker from South East
By
Bona Naija -
May 15, 2019

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has called on the All Progressives Congress (APC) to review its zoning formula for the leadership of the 9th National Assembly.

In a communique issued in Abuja on Wednesday by the Deputy President of the Council, Innocent Nduanya the group said that the zoning did not reflect the unity which President Muhammadu Buhari preaches.

According to Nduanya, going by the ethnicity of persons who have been drafted to occupy certain key position in the next dispensation, it was only fair and equitable that the Speakership be occupied by someone from the South East.

The Youth Council’s deputy president specifically called for the party to support Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba for speakership to create an ethnic and religious balance of power.

The group observed with displeasure that the first term of the Buhari’s administration would have achieved better successes but for the dispute with the National Assembly occasioned by poor zoning of the positions.

“We also recall that national political stability was strained over perceived lopsidedness in the zoning of offices of government and appointments contributing to limiting the effectiveness of many good policies,

“With this in mind, the NYCN believes that with the renewed mandate, PMB and APC have the opportunity to correct the pitfalls of the past four years.

“The NYCN believes that this is the time to plan for the equitable allocation of offices and this begins with the current jostling for the remaining constitutional positions of leadership.

“Having settled that of the President (North West), Vice President (South West), the CJN by succession rules will go to the North East, the four remaining Constitutional offices of the legislature are the only available avenues for inclusivity,” he said.

Nduanya stressed that zoning formula was drawn up with criteria such as: longest serving, longer as party members, arguing that Hon. Nwajiuba also had those qualities.

The NYCN added that the South Eastern Lawmaker was a Buharist and a long suffering party member right from the days of the CPC-ACN merger.

“With this in in mind and to correct the impression of exclusion and marginalization, Rt. Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba perfectly fits the criteria for speakership of the House of Representatives,” he said.

Also speaking during the briefing and issuance of communiqué, the FCT Chairman of the Council Ango Abdullahi said that the FCT youths were in support of a balanced Nigeria.

He said that a Nigeria where all will be fair, equal will be a better Nigeria, adding that FCT indigenous people still remained marginalized as they were not represented at FEC meetings or in federal appointments.

*BREAKING NEWS....*

*EL RUFAI'S FACTION OF APC TIPS NWAJIUBA FOR HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES*
The tussle within the ruling party, the All Progressive Congress [APC] between the Tinubu led faction and the El Rufai led faction has become a game of musical chairs where winner takes all.
Information available to 247ureports.com indicates the election for the leadership of the House of Representatives may have taken a new turn.
This is as the El Rufai faction of the party – consisting primarily of Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Fayemi, Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, Minister of Power, Housing & Works, Raji Fashola and others – have turned away from the supposed choice of the Tinubu led APC for the position of Speaker. Femi Gbajabiamila representing Surulere constituency in Lagos State had been the choice for the Tinubu led APC.
The El Rufai faction has in turned opted to go south east. Particularly, his former ally and friend in the person of Emeka Nwajiuba who was recently presented with a certificate of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] for Okigwe south (Ehime, Mbano/Ihitte, Uboma/Obowo) federal constituency under the Accord party.
Emeka Nwajiuba had been a member of the APC but was pushed away by the Rochas Okorocha mechanization which hoisted his man Friday, Chike Okafor as the recipient of the party ticket. Emeka Nwajiuba was forced to contest under the Accord party.
He has indicated he will return to the APC.
As a caveat, Emeka Nwajiuba was born shortly after the broke out of the Biafran war in August 20, 1967. He was called to the Nigerian bar in 1989, pursued his LLM at University of Lagos and PhD at University of Jos. He had served as House of Representatives committee chairman on Land, Housing and works from 1999 to 2003 before contesting Imo governorship on the platform of APP in 2003, 2007 and as CPC candidate in 2011. He was Secretary of the Constitution drafting committee that produced the Constitution of the merger committee to form APC in 2013.
While serving as the Committee Chairman on Land, Housing and works, Nasiru El Rufai headed the Bureau for Public Enterprise [BPE].
Both Nwajiuba and El Rufai worked together and knew each other sufficient well. They grew to become friends. According to our source, “they trust each other”.
Nwajiuba is said to enjoy a cordial relationship with the President.
In light of El Rufai’s ambition to contest for President of Nigeria, our source notes that El Rufai has begun positioning his searchlight to the south east to make new friends. He believes he needs south east votes to carry him over the hump. He has begun to attract the favor of the south east. He believes that with a Speaker from the south east, the south east with appreciate him in return.

What qualifications was required that Femi Gbajabiamila did not possessed.? How else someone perform best than Gbajabiamila's performance as majority leader of the house of Representative? He's not a novice in the house! What made nwajuba more qualified than him? You better swallow your pride, sentiment and give honour to the incoming Speaker of the HoR (Right Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila)
Kulas:
But let's be honest, if this is to be based on merit, qualification and who will perform best,Nwajiuba is the man and not Gbaja.
It's just that in this country, tribalism and nepotism have taken the place of merit and performance
