People come to church and have no clue why. They sing few songs, listen to a sermon, and go back to their lives without any change. The problem is that they have no understanding as to why they are doing what they are doing. If the common church attender comes to “worship” on Sunday but does not know why, then we have a problem. Why, then, should you go to church? To be more theologically accurate, why should you gather with the church — since the church is not the building down the street, but the group of believers? SO WHY DO WE GATHER AS THE CHURCH? We “church” to glorify God. We gather around God. Romans 12:1 commands us to present our bodies as living sacrifices to God. This lifestyle propels communal witnessing (1 Peter 2:9), repenting (Acts 2:38), worshipping (Psalm 150; Ephesians 5:19) and teaching (Colossians 3:16). We gather because we are one body, drawn together by God to be a people of God who live for God. We testify to God’s greatness. We disciple others through life together. We serve, teach and encourage, not just one another, but the world at large. We do not ultimately come together for Sunday worship service to experience an emotional response that brings joy to us as consumers, though many Westerners gather for this very reason. Rather, we gather because God has united us. We gather because we live life together in being effective witnesses to our local communities. We gather because the diversity of the local church should mirror heaven to a dying, lost and sinful world. Christians are made to gather. By K. There are alot of reasons associated with people going to church. But i believe most people attend church services for basically 3 reasons firstly, some go to church to speak to their god. This set of people believe that their god listens and answers prayers. secondly, people who attend church services due to external factors. This set of people go to church probably because their family members force them to church or they do not want their neighbours to think they're immoral, because there is this stereotype about non-believers "once you find someone who does not attend church they start judging. and finally people attend church like any other social gathering, prolly to look for a relationship partner, business partner, need counselling from the pastoral department or just to go and show off their latest properties. 28 Likes 3 Shares |

We gather to worship God in spirit and in truth. God doesn't accept any kind of worship cos the Bible says that any one that comes to God must believe that he exist and that he is the rewarder of those that [b][/b]diligently seek him. John 4:21 Jesus said to her, Woman, believe Me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither [merely] in this mountain nor [merely] in Jerusalem. 23- A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers. You don't have to go to that building on Sunday. When 2 or 3 people are gathered in his name. He is there! . But "pastors, Bishops, prophets" etc need you to come to church so that they can easily manipulate you and collect your money. They don't really care about your well-being. You are only a MEANS TO AN END . They don't care about you. It is one BIG PYRAMID SCHEME . It's a SCAM! 2 Likes |

Because we were taught to do so.... If we don't go people will see us as devil children. I don tire for this kind people sef, someone should move to a country where nobody gives a fvk about religion and things are moving.. Yes ,gathering may be good, but it is not christianity. We dont need gathering to worship God, we worship him in spirit. That means you are worship just the way you are alive. Christianity is simply believing in christ and get saved, not gathering. |

You go to church to be taught God's way, Don't commit fornication. Don't commit adultery. Don't tell lies Don't dress too romantic/ half nude to attract opposite sense Pray and ask for forgiveness. Dress decently and don't expose your body to men Do legitimate business. Avoid boy friend and girl friend things..
