I've done d installation 4 2 pple d 1st was with strong lnb wich i hit 63% on multi tv & infinity tv y d second, was with hitv lnb wich hit 76% on multitv y 64% on infinity tv.my advise 2 u al is track wit oda lnb  exclude strong lnb as your offset.bt u can use strong lnb as your primary lnb (eutelsat w4) FTA 4 LIFE

True talk indeed. I actually use a Hi rubbish Lnb as my offset.(Astra).

you must have been missing something out Somewhere. First of all, track your W4/7 using these FTA tp 12438h 23425sr your lnb skew should be at 8.30 to 9.0clock facing d dish. You must ensure you hit 64-68% signal quality. Then input
11747h 27500 dstv and verify you have 80% upward as your signal quality and tilt your dish. Secondly, get another lnbf for astra and connect it to the decoder, input multi tv tp 12552v 19531sr. NOTE! You don't have to touch or move the dish again! All you'll need to do is take the new lnb you've just connected and move it downward at 8.0.clock skew on the tri pod and watch the screen as you move it, signal should pop up. Then tie the lnb wherever you hit green. Then you can tweak for maximum signal strenght you can achieve fom 75% for multitv 12552v 19531sr and 80% for Infinity package 12543H 20800sr. Then you are good to go.

hello nairalanders, i felt since this thread is all about multi lnb set-up though w4/7 and Astra 2b. i will like to see pictures preferably if anyone will like to share this set-up as stated by Life 707{including u}:
For a more stable signal, 90cm is also o.k but i suggest 1meter dish & u can attach the ffings in addition to W6:
-astra2b & badr5 as 1lnb
-Eutelsat w4
-sirus4 (NB:low % of 56%)

My advice is, choose a closer birds to nail. e.g astra2b and badr5 (26e and 28e). Etc.

i 'll like to inform u that its possible to have a difference of upto 16.5 degrees on 90cm & upto 42 degrees on 180cm dish. it depends on the EIRP( in dBW) value of the beam in ur location(naija).

E.g Viasat 1 on nss7 has EIRP of upto 44dBW while CNN on same c-band has EIRP of 39 dBW, this means it will be easier to track nss7 c-band using viasat 1 freq than cnn on the same sat.

Another e.g, W6 has EIRP of 42dBW but cant be tracked as off set on 180cm with nilesat as primary while EW4 freqs with EIRP of upto 47-48dBW

can be tracked even though its 42degrees away from the primary lnb unlike W6 which is just 22.5degrees away.

In Summary, once a sat beam has an EIRP of upto 42dBW & above in naija, its possible to get it on 90cm E.g Eurobird 2 @25.5E (Has 2 FTA Channels - CNN & MTV Arabia).

you can use a rope, wire, tape or construct a holder to accomodate the second lnbf. Just make sure you hit green then skew for maximum signal quality you could achieve.

good, if you're using 65cm then you should let ur second lnb skew be at 7to 7.30 o clock. Check the picture on page 1 carefully. Let see what u'll get. Use this tp for infinity 12544H 20800sr and multi tv 12550v 19531. Remember, you dont need to touch your dish again. Just the second lnb you'll be working on.

you place it by your left while standing at the front of the dish

The decoder i bought yesterday 4669xII for w4/w7 and astra 2b works perfect without any upgrade and i install the two sat within 20 mins and very very easy to get. thanks to all that already install the 2 sat.

they wrote 4669xII on the box and i check the system information and i saw the same name, i was told is direct from mytv office and i bought it N13,500 at oshodi. the software info is up to date.

Thanks to fta gurus i can watch (kilonsele,galaxy,superscreen etc)they transmit in mpeg-2 and joytv joysport adom transmit in mpeg-4, since i am using mpeg-2 reciever i can get sme stn in vdeo wile sum as radio
