I want to say a very big thank you to the gurus in the house who take their time to answer all questions raised in this thread. I've been following this thread for some time now but today I want to announce to the house that for first time i decided to touch a dish, i was able to nail w4 & astra 2b on one dish. I'm now enjoying multitv, infinity tv & fta on Ew4. All thanks to ur contributions. |

Tanks 2 d gurus in d house,finally i nailed ew4 &astra2ABD on 60cm,but d fta signal on dstv is not up 2 55%. It's realy crackin. How can i increas d signal of astra2 4rm 50%. |

Stevolat:stevo, hopee u finally stop the crackin, by tweaknin ur lnb @Joewayne You gonna have to use life707 setup style to add badr4 and rest, and only have to be on a 85cm/90cm dish. enjoy. |

ask, kudos for your ingenuity. that was quite a feat. however, my experience with these type of improvisation is that over time those ropes and strings begin to wear out due to prolonged exposure to the weather and you'll constantly need to climb and adjust. with the multi-lnb holder (or bracket) you won't have to go through such stress on a regular basis. take the example of my comstar 3-in-1 lnb dish. when i first set it up, i used wires and black tape to hold the two c band lnbs together. but i noticed they were always shifting out of alignment.so i would climb up every other week to adjust them. then i called dejsam in kano to send me the lnb holder brackets which i then installed. ever since i installed those brackets, i haven't climbed up again to adjust the lnb and its over a year and half now! |

monsterg: The TP you posted is for Astra 2b which is 12551 V 19531. If you want to nail W4/W7 12131 H 27500 is the TP to use. |

please help me out. I was able to nail dstv w4 in less than a minute with my strong decoder. I blind scaned and it gave me all the dstv tps with all having good signal and quality. My problem now is that when I replaced the strong decoder with a new dstv small decoder, to my dismay it was not getting any signal. Please what could be wrong with the decoder or is there anything I still have to do on that decoder? Please help me out |

@oka when u start up the dstv decoder,press menu to stop scanning &goto dish installtn /advanced settings/network settings;watever way ur dstv decoder put it.press 9949 if u ar askd 4 pincode.den,choose w4/w7 for the first home network &press ok.it will bring a parameter screen wia u will enter 11900 h 27500 as d freq.after dat accept values &leave screen.then it will take u back 2 d first screen wia u chose d ew4/7.now,chose disabled for the remaining networks &accept values to exit and rescan.ur dstv shud b ok after den |
