An oil well reported to be owned by Chevron, was said to have been flaring gas in the community since April 18, and has been on fire without no attention from the Fire service.



A resident of the community shared a video on twitter and said:

"This oil well in Ugbo-Ilaje, Ondo state operated by Chevron has been on fire, flaring gas since April 18 to this day - that's 36 days of gas flaring in the community without the government doing anything

Lets say they didn't know. Now they know

Save the community"

We hope the Government of Ondo state will look inwards to this fire problem.
