Lagos – Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) has described the Supreme Court judgment on the Rivers and Zamfara elections as a national tragedy which should be reversed.

Sagay in a statement on Wednesday also advised the legal team of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to apply for a review of the two judgments.

He said “The Zamfara and Rivers State judgments are a national tragedy. We should not allow our legal system to throw up such unimaginable injustice. This major judicial disenfranchisement of the Zamfara and Rivers electorate should be reversed”.

“I advise the APC legal team to apply for a review of the two judgments. Their Lordships ought to be given an opportunity to reverse this unprecedented tragedy”.

“The prefix “Justice” preceding the names of Supreme Court and Court of Appeal Judges is significant, for it prescribes what they stand for and what they represent, JUSTICE!”

The declaration of Atiku as the legitimate winner in few months time will be the BIGGER TRAGEDY.
Mr Man, reserve your tears and wailing for the impending MASTER defeat at the Supreme court.
All APC's fraudulent electoral wins will surely be returned to the rightly winners through the courts, just give it time.

Fellow Nigerians rejoice and be overwhelmingly happy.

ATIKU IS COMING, ATIKU IS HERE!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!

Truly is a national tragedy for a party that dies not have 2/3 of the total vote be declared as the winner. It is a shame to Nigeria judiciary.

The shame rather is that a political party refuses to bide by simple statutory provisions and rather relies on federal might to do some magic. The duty of the judiciary is to interprrete the law in its most ordinary form and give effect to it through its pronouncements. If primaries are not conducted and supervised by INEC, that party cannot participate in elections. If a party or person wilfully flouts a valid order of a court of competent jurisdiction, such party is not permitted to benefit from deliberate disobedience and folluy otherwise the court will be rendered a mere apppendage and toothless bull dog. Knowing their supposed popularity and spread, why did Zamfara not conduct primaries? Instead Yari was barking and raising fire and brimstone. Amaechi with his high-handedness refused to comply and allow internal democracy and his fellow APC party members were not willing to compromise, they took him to court up to the supreme court. Sagay and others tat reason like you should drop the sentiments please!
