Gov. Akeredolu breaks fast with Muslims in Ondo

Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, on Sunday joined members of the State Muslim community to break the day's fast, tagged “Iftar with Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu “.

The Governor had since inception in office made it a duty to break fast with the Muslim during the Ramadan period.

Akeredolu said the state is too sensitive for anyone to discriminate among religious institutions. He added that the Muslims are as important as the Christians in the state.

The Governor who said he was always looking forward to the yearly Iftar, announced that all arrangements have been concluded to build a Mosque inside the government House.

Akeredolu charged the people to always put the interest of the state above personal satisfaction, adding that the government is exploring every avenue to develop the state from all sides.

He said the people stand to benefit immensely from the massive developmental projects been executed by his administration, particularly on road construction, construction of public primary schools and provision of potable water supply.

Earlier in his goodwill message, the Chief Imam of Akure, Alhaji Akorede commended Governor Akeredolu for his different developmental revolutions across the state.

The cleric who christened the governor "Wonderful Aketi" explained that Akeredolu has done so many wonderful things that are beyond the people's expectations.

Also, one of the speakers, Imam Yunus Anola commended Akeredolu for his hospitality towards both the Christians and Muslims in the state.
