This morning, 8th of June, 2019 at about 8:40am.
Alot of Nigerians living across the country while using the popular chat app were seen to have been temporarily blocked from using the service for about 20 minutes.

The reason being breach in "terms and conditions of use". Most people who were blocked were found to be using modified versions of WhatsApp including "WhatsApp Plus" And the popular "GB WhatsApp".

WhatsApp however gave a statement through the " LEARN MORE option on the BAN page gave users an option of getting the original WhatsApp version after the ban is lifted or risk being banned Permanently.
